"Go for the eyes, Boo!"
Er, sorry, wrong BioWare RPG. You'll have to forgive us, though, as the firm's latest dev blog references dear old Minsc in the very first sentence. Yep, it's another treatise on companions in Star Wars The Old Republic, and this time senior game designer William Wallace (really) treats us to a lengthy entry explaining a bit about companion customization and combat.
The latter presentation takes the form of a few short videos showing off the fighting prowess of one Corso Riggs, a heavily armored blaster specialist who functions as one of the Smuggler class companions. Head to the official SWTOR website for all the goods.

SWTOR is launching to selcetive countries in EU. Many EU countries that have had full support of all major MMO games at launch for the past 7 years are exluted. This includes low populated countries that have no effect on sever load or quality of gameplay for other players.
Claiming it has to do with quality control for those countries that are supported at launch is simply not true and shows the total and utter lack of moral sense that a big gaming company is showing towards their playerbase.
Lets put it this way... Bioware is not my companion.

@Deadalon you guys really need to learn to take a joke :p
ps: I know it sucks, but bitching here isn't going to change Bioware's mind. Try doing it on their forums. Probly wont help either, but your chances are higher of someone at Bioware reading it. You dont have to complain about it in every swtor article. It's not even related to the topic.

Well you have to understand what RIFT has to work with:
A purple cat, morphing elemental blobs, and a few skeletons.
However, some of RIFTs skeleton models have a tad bit of coolness associated with them.
Ren's attitude remind me of the stereotypical old man on the porch:
"In my day. We just had pets models for casting, tanking, and DPS and it was enough! Not this of this fancy dandy customi-thingmabobing!"

Not from Eastern EU country. Im from Iceland. Population of 300K and Bioware claims that will put to much load on the rest of the EU servers.
If Bioware can not support SWTOR in Iceland like every other major MMO has been able for the past 7 years... then it says pretty much all that is needed about the company. So far I have been playing endgame content for alot of MMo games with no hickups. Obviously Bioware can not support that atm even tho they have spent hundred of milions on the game. Obvious where they put their priorities ....

They probably figure after Iceland went bankrupt on those investments where their banks all went bankrupt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008%E2%80%932011_Icelandic_financial_crisis , there isn't any more money coming out of that country.
They probably want to focus more on countries with money.

Bioware simply does not want cross-contamination with EvE players, but are too polite to say it.

If you actully done some reource (that you obviously didnt do) - then you would realise few things. Including that China client is in Chinese. That on its own explains abit of the setback. Other issues are for example caused with the Chinese government not accepting WOW going from 1 publisher and provider in China - to another.
Now.. Lets see.. last time I looked our 300k Country that is able to play games both US and EU has had no problems and is very much financial stable. At least WoW and WAR and AOC and LOTRO and RIFT and EQ2 have had no problems geting their subs payed by Icelanders playing on the Same EU severs and same client as the rest of western EU countries.
Iceland ows less money per capita than do US. Maybe thats the reason Bioware can only support half of EU? Sound like US can't produce a qualily release and support for what the rest of the MMO buisness has been doing over the last 7 years.

@Ren54 Who cares how gear looks? They're just stat boosts.
Who cares about quests? Just kill random monsters and make up the story in your head.
Who cares about game worlds? All they do is make it take longer to run to the next monster.
Ideal MMO: Your character is a blue dot, enemies are red dots. Every three seconds your blue dot hero moves to the next red dot enemy. Hit your rotation - 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 1, 4. The red dot vanishes. You have vanquished a mob! Check your ranking number at the top-left corner of the screen. Is it #1 yet? If not, there are people who have killed more red dots than you. Continue killing more red dots.
