CCP announces EVE Fanfest 2012 dates

CCP has just announced its plans for EVE Online's eighth annual Fanfest. The ~~drunken buffoonery~~ celebration will take place March 22nd through March 24th at the shiny new Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center in Reykjavik, Iceland.

CCP Tyr has posted the details on EVE's official website, and there's a loose itinerary that includes a poker tournament, a battle of the bands, chessboxing, and hey, there might even be some EVE- and Dust 514-related presentations and assorted tomfoolery if things go according to plan.

Tyr says that further info -- including flight, accomodation, and access pass availability -- will be forthcoming as the event draws closer.

I wonder how many bittervets will spend the cash to go and voice their complaints. I use the term as a nice one, because I'm one of the people who don't approve of CCP's recent bullshittery.

The list is much longer but I deleted the dead blogs from my favorites as they quit the game. But out of the 25 bloggers I used to follow only two are left and one is only training skills.

The tomfoole.. err.. article made me giggle. Not because of what he said but because of the anger with which it has been written. In my opinion, a buffoonery is making laugh at these kind of events in a mmorpg related web.

I think you misinterpreted anger for poking fun. Maybe it's a cultural/language thing.

I do not mean this to troll but if Eve would just do two things

1.) Make the micro transaction store prices reasonable much like Turbine has- there is a global recession occurring.
2.) Make Dust 514 for the PC-

I think you would see CCP lifted back up to a respectable studio in the view of their customers. Never screw your customers over. Never.

I think this year it is going to be very quiet over there - but I also know is that they will not acknowledge that and will say that 2012 was the busiest year so far :-)
