Probably little if any MMO for me this week. I may try one last time to embrace Black Prophecy. More likely I'll be swimming through a backlog of single player games.

@Keeop

Same. I've got a huge backlog of SP games due to Steam's last holiday sale. Oblivion is my main focus right now. Still, I've got the itch to get multiple characters through GW1's (the only true F2P MMO IMO) content before GW2 launches -- whenever that is.

I'm currently at the "abhor" stage with regards to modern F2P titles. LotRO broke my heart when it went F2P. My kinship all but disbanded and nobody plays anymore. I still log on once in a while but seeing the point requirements (even though I have more than enough points to last me and all content unlocked) broke the immersion of the game I liked so much.

@yeppers I'm with ya. I'm currently on a tour of Games I Should Have Played Years Ago...or...Steam Christmas Sale Backlog :) Dawn of War 2, Fallout, Dragon Age, etc.

I'm also in the same boat as far as current gen MMO's go. I'm hoping TOR and GW2 pull me back into online gaming. If not there's very little out there that seems worth the time or money.

Dear Lord of the Rings Online,

Why d oyou hate WindowsXP, and my system configuration so much? Every time I attempt to install you...well..you change some kind of property in windows and make other changes that a game just shouldn't make. I had to roll my system back one full week just to purge all the crazy stuff that happened when I installed you.

Also why do you hate my sound card? Every other MMO loves my sound card.... >_>

Oh fair LOTRO I wish I could give you a try...but you seem to have it out for me.

Sincerely,
One sad little Elf

PS: Why Pando media?! Why!?

Sounds like a pandio problem. Try downloading a direct copy of the game: http://www.fileplanet.com/213014/210000/fileinfo/The-Lord-of-the-Rings-Online-Client-%28Free-Game

Happy B-Day Shawn!! I'll be in FE with you for sure! Haven't much of a chance to play recently, life happens, but I'll be in the wastelands this weekend.

Playing EQ2. Didnt' think I would ever play it again, but the newest update has made the way I play, leveling via quests, worthwhile. Now that items from quests are actually good.

Dabbling in a little bit of Lotro, rolled a new champ. I'll get the itch again once they launch the new expack.

Unsubbed from Rift. Tried the stuff on test center. It's a nice groundwork system...but for now....I need more zones and reasons to play alts. I'll come back Rift in a few months....maybe.

After hopping from one Free-to-Play to another (maybe ten in the last six months?) I am returning to Zentia, which I stopped playing for non-gameplay reasons.

Was very surprised by the fantastic intro to the game and the new polish they've added. I'll be re-rolling on their PvE server so excited about trying a new class.

I resubbed to WoW last night on a whim after 8 or so months of not playing; someone please come here and shoot me.

@Crsh

I resubbed for their last expansion and was blown away by their Quest engine. Honestly, no game comes close to the amazing play mechanics they have tied to their quests.

And the solo-friendly Elite quests where they either give you super-powers for the quest, give you a bunch of NPC help or a Super-Debuff was fantastic.

I didn't stay re-subscribed for long but what I saw impressed the heck out of me.

Heh, I know exactly how you feel. It's the damn fluid gameplay that keeps me going back.
I've tried just about every MMO release or beta in the last 4 years and haven't found one that plays as smooth or for some strange reason looks as smooth for me.
Others have better/more realistic graphics but the movement always looks off.

@Crsh I'm trying out the "unlimited free trial" version. I find the improvements to the tutorial experience to be subtle but meaningful, but that's as far as I've gotten so far.

A little Torchlight, a little Deus Ex that I got with my new gpu.
Not the FPSer I used to be.
12 days Wow free and counting.
I need a new MMO badly. Rift was fun for a bit but not near enough content for my playstyle.
Sure hope something hits soon, fall weather has come here and the thought of winter without an MMO is frightening heh heh.

Have a happy birthday Shawn. 19 years old in Mars years eh? That's a new one.

This weekend I'm dabbling into Final Fantasy Tactics Advance some more. I've been grinding out abilities for my characters more than I have progressed the plot. I want to figure out how to unlock all the classes!

The usual. World of Warcarft, possibly a little Guild Wars and the most likely out of all would be League of Legends.

Currently going through Space Marine this weekend.

Somewhat ironic that the multiplayer apes the leveling structure of MMOs to unlock perks and weapons. Its only saving grace is that you can copy the weapon/perk loadout of whoever killed you - so if that level 36 blew you apart with something you normally cannot wield, you can get those freebies next life and go all ax crazy for revenge.

Me and leveling structures don't last long though. Not sure what I'll do once I get bored. Thinking hard about Civ 5 since it's on sale this weekend.

I might just kill some time with Spiral Knights or Puzzle Pirates - I have yet to master (or indeed, understand in great detail) many of the PP minigame puzzles. There's also Guild Wars, if I can remember what I was aiming to do in that again.
