There's no drama like internet spaceship drama, and the boohoos stemming from last summer's EVE Online Incarna expansion -- and the associated monoclegate controversy -- continue to make waves.
CCP has finally gotten around to releasing the minutes from the "emergency" Council of Stellar Management meeting that took place in Iceland from June 30th through July 1st. According to CCP Xhagen, the lengthy delay was due to the fact that "it takes time to create a document that everyone can accept. It is important to keep in mind that CSM meeting minutes are not released unless both CCP and the CSM give their approval."
The document summarizes the discussions and presents the brouhaha surrounding captain's quarters performance, the Noble Exchange, and CCP's future plans for virtual goods from the perspective of both devs and player representatives. The PDF ultimately serves as a useful summary of EVE's latest drama explosion, and you can read it in its entirety by following the link below.

Only took two months to get run through the :awesome: filter.
The real fun begins next month.

Waiting to hear from the CSM on how heavily edited these minutes were.

@(Unverified) It's not that the minutes are not edited... per se. If you read between the lines on some of the topics you'll find that what is said does not correspond to the response.
In a few cases CCP has heavily altered their own statements to reflect just how awesome they think their game is, where the CSM insisted the minutes accurately reflect what they said.
It creates an interesting comedy... but it's not a very useful document.

Maybe I don't remember correctly, but Mittens said on Funky Bacon that CCP's first draft was the usual stuff, but the second one (after CSM's first look through) had the disputed issues dialed down a lot. This was on Thursday or something, on eve radio.
Anyway it's obvious now that fail expansion is fail and fail vision is even more fail. So no one should be surprised that the PR folks are doing everything to keep this unknown to the news websites.
After the whole monoclegate thing, it would be even more horrible for CCP if rock paper, pcgamer and the like write how those concerns ended up being true.

Im furious as an ex-eve player, yep sold my accounts for untold thousands.
Im so glad I did but that is not the point.
Minutes of a meeting are not "EFFING INTERPRETATIONS"
Those are not MINUTES of a meeting. MINUTES of a meeting are specifically what is said every second of said meeting. Not a god damn general synopsis by what Id bet is a CCP employee.
If we knew specifically what was said by CCP, im sure there would be outrage. I think its also shameful for Massively to go along with a "minutes" title when surely.... it is hardly that.

fallwind is correct. Minutes are a summary of the points discussed and conclusions reached.

Minutes my ass. More like filtered CCP lies as per usual.
When have they not lied? please. They cant even "NOT CHEAT" or give bias to their own alliances.
Funny how eve started out as the main squeeze....but next its going to be MAIN SQUEEZE FAIL DUST with eve as a secondary feature to the PS3 game. You can do the space thing on pc! welcome to the backseat people, as if you havent been there for years already.
they dont care about eve otherwise they would have stopped hacking or changed the ui or many many other things they have not given a shit about for years but they just roll out shitty "features" that break more than they claim they give the game.
Worthless devs. Cheaters at that.
