@pixledriven
Agreed.

It was also not mentioned, that SB wasn't even released in Europe. (the European publisher was bancrupt before release). Could have made somewhat of a difference.

Hall: "Maybe it's time for Shadowbane 2?"

YES! DEFINITELY TIME!

I think a spiritual successor to SB would do very well. There are many players in both Darkfall and Mortal Online that talk about those games failings to me, and I can't help but think to myself, "hmm. SB did that better."

If you build it, they will come!

Really enjoyed this interview, as much as anything because it got me reminiscing. Had an awful lot of good times on SB, was very sad to see it go.

"Coleman: So many MMOs are announced and launched, and very rarely is someone willing to throw the dice on a new type of system or go after a different breed of gamer."

Ain't it the truth.

Shadowbane with updated graphic, stable siege, certain extent of PVE(trash quest, basic intro to the lore and story) = Dream MMO

imo, the race ,class and rune system of SB are just great

BUT sadly there WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER SB2. : (

Shadowbane was ahead of its time then, but it would find a lot larger of a market base now. If you guys were to take what you learned from then and put it into a new game now I can't see it being anything but a commercial success. God knows that we need an alternative to the games that keep coming out trying to be what SB was and stopping less than halfway there.
