@Arkanaloth

I just saw this on my news page.

The Secret World
Your friends want a spot on the beta too; but they don't have facebook? No problem! The beta signup is now possible without facebook! - https://register.funcom.com/tsw_beta/

The ARGs have been exhausting so far, but it's interesting to follow. Everything is true.

Eh, I registered for the beta when I took the original personality test. I was looking forward to the secret world game, but honestly if it means using facebook in any way I'll just avoid the secret war and hope I get in anyway.

I know I COULD set up a facebook account with no information just for the beta, but I'm not going to.

@Issmir

The official website says "If you are an existing member of the community (e.g. you took the original initiation test or even left your e-mail in the newsletter sign-up) you have been automatically registered as
a beta candidate."

So it's just the secret war facebook game you can't take part in without the facebook connection.

@Renko Yeah, I saw that. That's what I was trying to say; "Oh well, I don't really need to do the game anyways if I'm already signed up" :)

Crap, I missed that. I was wondering why I was declaring my allegiance again again. Oh well, if it's all as good as it looks, it's fine with me!

@Renko I hope so. Cause I am absolutely not joining Facebook to get into any game Beta.

Meh they are trying to make the game have a very large ARG component so I dont mind the facebook thing soo much.

That being said I went into he beta page dead set on joining Templar, but then I realized Id much rather be a backstabbing bastard then a righteous knight, so I went Illuminati.

Funny how a game based on secrets uses to promote itself a site with recurring privacy issues.

@Sephirah lol yea it seems pretty ironic that this so called "secret war" is being played out on the least secret place on the internet.I dont really understand why they couldnt just use a flash site or another site they made specifically for it like that one they used for the Kingsmouth stuff awhile back.
