While questing in RIFT, my Rogue Simbala has so often run by this tree located near Hammerlord Post in Moonshade Highlands and admired how it stretches over the road. Each time, she stops to admire its beauty and the way its pink leaves slowly blow off into the wind and the glow it casts. In all my travels so far in RIFT, this spot is memorable. We're looking at the best MMO environments all this week, but next week we'll be revisiting another old favorite of One Shots: bug week. Whether it's unwanted guests in cutscenes, funny graphic glitches, or a prank you played on a buddy, we want to see. Send your screenshots in to oneshots@massively.com and we'll feature them in next week's One Shots!
Today's One Shot comes to us from reader Johanis, who describes a special tree in RIFT that caught his character's eye:

Once again a testament to the gorgeous environments in this game. I love that shot!
I just wish my friends hadn't told me they planned to quit. Put a serious dent in my will to level, but hopefully I can find some new people to run with.:)

Why did they plan on quitting, what games are they looking forward to?

@BigAndShiny I believe they're leaving for SWtOR. I just got Rift IMO(even if it's 6 months ago, young, young age for an MMO though), and have founder's pricing.
It's part of the reason I'm hesitant to leave. That, and no interest in SWtOR really. I dig Rift.

Well they are giving pricing that is practically equivalent to founder's pricing right now so there isn't really any reason to hold onto the original deal.
You should look into that because I think the difference is like .50 cents or one dollar or something.

@OrangeGamer Best way to find people to, always, play with in MMOs (for me anyway) is to do non-pug dungeons. In WoW, as of late, I have been searching trade for people on my server to group together. After that I add them to my friends list and we play together. It has been working very well and it does give more sense of a community. I would play RIFT, currently ending my last month, but all my friends play WoW and are waiting for both TOR and GW2, like me.

nice shot.... for a dx 9 game.
this is ok but it looks flat to me. my eyes are used to dreamworld engine and dx10 effects on Age of Conan. rift...still a good shot for dx 9 game
