At least they are trying (as with everything in the game) to add some innovation.

And I had a thought. What if the recipes were randomly generated within certain perimeters for every new character you create? For instance, to make "Armor piece X" on one character it takes materials "A, B and C", but then for another character it takes, "A, C and F"???

Obviously keeping the materials and items practical. Like instead of "Iron" to make this Sword here, it's Steel. Or instead of Ashwood to make this wand, it's 3 pieces of Spruce???

Like that. That way every character will have to rediscover for that particular "alt" what the recipes are.

Just an idea.

I don't see any problem with allowing SWTOR relationships of any sort. In a universe of people from diverse backgrounds such as aquatic, eyeless, with or without tenticles, giant slugs with a fetish for slave girls, blue skinned, green skinned, skinless who cares what sex everyone is. As long as Tab A goes into Slot B, C or D and both (or more) are happy with it, let loose.

@real65rcncom because the movies showed every aspect of every culture in the whole entire Star Wars universe. We only saw Padme give birth so she must have been the only entity that gives live birth.

the Jedi of the Prequel Era are not only forbidden to have romantic attachments; they are forbidden to have familial ones. Force-sensitive children are taken from their families at a young age and brought up in the Jedi Temple, without much or any connection with their biological relatives. They are loyal and devoted to the Jedi Order because they have no other family..

Arguing about this shows you have no idea on the IP and you lack something worth being called an opinion.

@Fabius Bile I know very well the various dumb ideas Lucas put into his prequel lore, and just because Lucas thought it was a great idea doesn't make the concepts of making 'love' into a character flaw/sin for a Jedi any less stupid, sorry.

Actually, Lucas gets many cinematic traditions wrong and this is part of it; he's basically dug himself into this hole.

While it is great to be emotionally detached and have a level-head, having no family, like a Mother and Father, tends to be bad. Especially Jedis need the trait of compassion. It was this that Luke brought forth in dealing with Vader that ultimately redeemed him. Another Jedi probably would have just killed him.
