@Mtor
So the WARzone they showed off like a year ago where you battle for control of a turret used to destroy an enemy drop ship was just part of a fun skirmish between both sides?

Could be fun.

Could be a real PITA if it's just a glorified CTF that requires passing but dickheads in PuGs are too egoistic to actually pass it and people lose because of that fact.

A different style of capture the flag warzone. I like the ability to pass and the traps / obstacles on the field. This will be more fun than standard capture the flag BGs.

Looks like a good time. Would have been nice if they mixed the factions on a team for this warzone.

Actually, this looks like a derivative of Griffball -- which was cooked up by the guys at RoosterTeeth as a custom Halo3 multiplayer match.
- Ball starts in the middle of the field, teams at far ends: Check
- Aim is to get ball to opponents' goal: Check
- Violence encouraged to steal ball: Check

All it needs now is for being a ball carrier to strip you of weapons, and give you a boost to health/shield.

@techjedi23

Or simply you know a star wars version of roller derby like any other things. It is also worth noting that Star Wars has always had a sport called "light ball" though it was never explained in full. Just a "background" happening in a few places.

Ever heard of Speedball? Came out in 1988, it's the oldest example of this game type that I know of.

Trust me, it's neither as fun or 'revolutionary' as it looks.

Looks like a lot of fun! I've never really enjoyed PvP, but the info from TOR is really making it much more appealing to me.

As a fan since '77, let me remind everyone: Star Wars has /always/ been about stealing, I mean "homaging" old concepts and making something new and cool of them.

To *cough* borrow a line from DIE HARD, George Lucas is an /exceptional/ thief. (He can't write dialogue for #$%+, though.)

And there I was hoping to see some actual footage (a developer walkthrough maybe) of the Alderaan warzone they promised people to play at Gamescom... Gamescom - one of the biggest European gaming conventions... and they show a small trailer of a new warzone and a very small part of Eternity Vault.

Here's hoping they'll show much more at PAX.

Looks like it could be fun. Being able to fly starships would have been even better!
