Supposedly there's a Fey race, but all I've dug up is the name.

Going off the trailer and this info alone, I can only hope that this colorful entry into the MMO genre strays from the pack and does something as interesting as it's trailer was.

Nothing new here, but I'll take any Wildstar news I can get my hands on. I am in love with this game.

Looks cool and all, but lets hope it actually brings something new to the table.

I am really digging the art work in this game. The screenshots are amazing. Highly stylized, but in a very good way. The grass, the stone...everything has a life to it.

Yeah, they clearly went for something that would perform well on most systems and a look that avoids slogging across the uncanny valley while still being distinctive. The approach is very WoW-like, but seems to be more pleasing to the eye.

All the worlds remind me of Ratchet and Clank or Jak and Daxter. But there's certainly nothing wrong with that. I loved the art style, scenery and locales those games had as well.

After watching the trailer again, reading about the classes, checking out the website, blog and facebook page, I am very excited about this game. What they're proposing would be amazing, so long as it's executed correctly. Only time will tell. Lets hope the ball doesn't get dropped on something with this much good looks.

The trailer yesterday was enough to peak my interest. Wasn't big on the bunny girl but I did like the sci-fi/western undertone and the humour. Not convinced the fun of the trailer will carry over to the gameplay but I'll keep an eye on it.

@FrostPaw

Some gameplay mixed in the first video, and I believe new Granok character gameplay in the second.

I kind of liken it to, "If Pixar made a sorta Fireflyish MMO...." :-)

Wildstar Central...I sure hope all their podcasts aren't talking about "fat chicks" and more about the game.

@Fabius Bile

That's for the DEMO. Come on, man.

They've already confirmed that when the actual game release happens you'll be able to play a dude with bunny ears or someone who looks very much like the fine lady painted on the side of the ship in the trailer. If you read the linked thread you'd know that.

If you go to the Wildstar Online website and check out their "Artwork" section under "Media" you'll see a female human Spellslinger and a Human male with a giant sword on his back. So if that's any indication, these are just the first 3 race/class combinations the game has to offer.

They probably just used these 3 for the playable demo at Gamescom and doesn't have any real correlation on actual character/class selection. Besides, the studio is touting grand talks about "choices", the choice to just explore, the choice to just beat animals up or the choice to build new settlements. So NOT having the choice to choose race/gender/class would be a bit...backwards.

Reserve judgment and hold off on that "hype meter" until there's more information about the game.

So when's it coming to a PC near me? I really, REALLY can't get hyped about another MMO with and indefinite stream news and no launch talk.
