Healers are the unsung heroes of fantasy worlds, protecting the valiant warriors of the realm and receiving none of the glory. Well, En Masse Entertainment is looking to change that, and to start it off the team has released a new cinematic trailer thathighlights the healers of TERA.
Our healer host for the trailer, a female Castanic, provides us with a bit of backstory via voiceover as monsters ravage the land. The heroes of TERA won't take that sitting down, of course, and soon enough our Castanic friend and her allies make a grand entrance and take down a legion of foul creatures, only to find themselves face-to-face with one Big-Ass Monster. For all of the action-fueled excitement, hop on past the cut for the full trailer.

Pretty good trailer. Apart from the stereotype emotional girly girly healer with past problems and obvious boobage 5 seconds into the video.

Yeah, I think the physics engine has been tweaked a little for this game.
Cool trailer, but I didn't catch a lot of healing going on. Looks like a game I'll try when there's an OB or trial version available.

All that talk and not a single heal was cast.

Some of the people I've talked to who play it on the Korean servers say it's every bit the game people like me have been hoping it is, but that it's simply not the type of game that sells well in Asia; It's more Western. Still, if it gets pushed back from Spring 2012 as much as I've been looking forward to it, I'll have to pass. I'm not made out of patience, and this game has been pushed over the hype cliff to the point where people either want to play it or wish they'd never heard of it for all the frustration it causes.

@NeverDeath when i played ktera the only good thing about it was the combat system which ended up getting old by lvl 30 kinda like vindictus. Tera is a huge world relative to aion, but its full of copy and paste mobs, bots at release. The biggest problem for me that forced me to quit was the forced grouping what do i mean is that unless u were in a group or was a skilled sorc, archer and berserker you couldnt do anything w/o a group since the quest dont give shit for xp and u gain more from grinding than questing. And the pvp, nothing beats having a berserker crit for 30k on a person that has only 22k hp aka the pvp is sucks. anyways i m still keeping an eye out (gw2 is my main game ) but i foresee it falling short just like aion did.

This trailer is like an off-topic essay.....
All she did was make an epic entrance to the instance late, kill an enemy as a healer, and did not heal a single ally.
Basically the worst kinda healer if you ask me.

As a person who played a Ktera at release i can say that the healing pretty rough. You got really bad healing aggro on mobs (sometimes just a single heal leads to you pulling aggro), you have to run in range to heal. And the lock on system makes healing really difficult because sometimes even though the icon is on the player you want to heal, doesn't register with the game and so u cant heal that target which 4/10 times means death.

Was this trailer supposed to be about healing, or her tits?

Talk is cheap... This movie did not show anything of healer gameplay. Looks like the developers dont even know how its gonna be yet.

So, remind me what's the problem with feminine fantasy characters being fantastically feminine?

@Apakal Feminine =/= men's sex objects. That's the difference.
