If they could pull off the feel of the books, would be an amazing game. Now ..as to whether that's even possible is another story.

Never heard of the books but this sounds like it could be a very interesting game if they can execute all of their ideas well. This one's going on my watch list.

I'd assumed this had sloped off the a dark corner somewhere to die a quiet, unnoticed death. Glad to see I was wrong :)

I don't know the books but it sounds interesting. Putting it in my "must try" MMO next to GW2, Archeage and The Secret World.

Wow, didn't realize the link at the end of the article had a video. Didn't realize they had that much work completed already. This really could be an amazing game.

For people who haven't read the books, pretty much imagine the digital world of the matrix, but without the whole being used as batteries for aliens thing. And having a little piece of it all your own to do as you wish. In the books, the characters went through all sorts of virtual worlds ..medieval, ww2, egyptian themed, giant jungle where people are the size of insects and insect are the size of buses, etc etc ..pretty much whatever you could imagine could exist in the books.

Pretty much what we all imagined the internet would be like when we were kids, lol.

I watched the video and was getting really interested until I read through the info and found open world PvP, PKing and corpse looting, even your home space can be attacked and destroyed/looted? Sounds like a complete gankfest, even with their mentioned limits of protecting lower levels (which always turns out to be near worthless).

Can someone please do a sandbox-ish game, with great graphics and combat, without open world PvP and the ganking nonsense this always turns into? How many niche, failing PvP sandbox games have to flounder before someone realizes a lot of us don't have the time to waste getting constantly ganked or rebuilding stuff with our limited play time? We want to do what we want, WHEN we want, and leave the PvP as an OPTION.
