i just jumped on the mmo wagon and started playing RIFT. A lot of fun, even if it is really hectic at times. Sirfrancisbacon on Gnarlwood.

@Resurge It's annoying, isn't it? I think we get hit Sunday nights the most because it's Monday morning where the spammers live. Plus this article always gets cross-posted to Joystiq, so we attract the Joystiq spambots too. Just clicky the report button; we ban a few more every week. :D

@Brianna Royce the part i don't get is what do they get out of it? Does anyone actually click those linkies and buy stuff? I doubt it ..seems like a waste of time, and effort on their part just to annoy us. :|

Really am a fan of the redesign. They are a refreshing change from the normal knife ears we see in every fantasy game ever.

I was never even considering playing a Sylvari, but now after seeing the videos Arenanet put out my thoughts have changed. I will be making one as my first alt, my main is going to be Norn. :)

Dryad = Tree Nymph (minor nature deity)

Sylvari = Humanoid plant creature born from a tree

Please don't compare the two. Sylvari are something new, and while people may grasp for a comparison, there is none that do them justice.

Sylvari are not elves. They are not similar to elves. Do not compare the Sylvari to elves. In fact don't compare them to anything, because no comparison does them justice. They are the Sylvari, they are unique.

The idea of a plant person isn't new, but I definitely haven't seen it in MMOs and I'm sure the lore is unique.

Man, I'm so excited for this. Guild wars 2 is the only MMO I'll ever get into, since GW1. I always played MMO rpg's but never saw myself playing for more than a couple of weeks. D&D online was also a blast, but only played it for about a month or two.

My biggest gripe is the monthly fee. Mainly because I can't play that much some months, and I end up spending my money. Sometimes I believe that I can pay them, but then something happens and I do nothing.

The sylvari look fantastic. I'm going to play every race in gw2, and this one is second after the Asura. Those things are so cute!
