@Ardanwen Same. Most underrated MMO on the market, and one of the best in the genre.

I miss the days when F2P games sold cosmetic and vanity items in their stores, and made A LOT from those. Not these newer games like lotro and aoc, that actually SELL CONTENT in a game called "F2p"

The sad truth is ALL games that have recently become F2P didnt have to AT ALL. But the devs are so blind and cocky, they actually spent money changing the game into a hybrid model and spent thousands of hours to develop a store and other stuff, INSTEAD OF JUST PROMITING THE GAME!!!

Funcom... guess what.... like 75% of current mmorpg players DONT EVEN KNOW THAT AOC EXISTS!!! And on top of that, theres around 500-600 MILLION computer users, all who are potential mmo players, that dont even know MMORPGS EXIST!!!!

Games are dying because the devs are LAZZZZZY and refuse to promote correctly. lol, promoting to CURRENT MMO GAMERS does nothing but make those gamers flip flop from one game to the next to the next, and not bring in REAL customers.

WAKE UP FUNCOM! lol

Top games dont need billions in ads. With huge social networks that are around the word of mouth travels fast. AOC just isn't that quality. Its a mediocer F2P title that has little esle than graphics. These days ppl consider gameplay to be many times more important than shiny games that get outdated in 1-2 years.

I love the new model of FTP areas and paying for additional content if and when you want it.
You can buy it, leave the game for 6 months, and it is still there when you return without having to resub.

Noone can ever trust Funcom again. AOC might be half a decent F2P game but it surely is not the steak we were promised. And thats the bottom line.

blabla bullshit, from someone who apparently is unable to let go of his grudge and bitter hate towards Funcom. Pathetic.

"Deadalon can never trust Funcom again."

There, fixed that for you, we get the message. Now head off to something you do play and let the people who like the game continue to enjoy it while you undergo some overdue surgery for that massive chip on your shoulder! Good grief, haven't you got over the fact that it said DX10 on the box when it was only DX9 yet?!!!

The 2G cap and 80% of the playerbase that will be at it. Why would anyone want to pay premium in game where the economy will always be crippled and no one can afford your stuff after a certain level.

Enjoy, saving for a 150g swift mount, 50g slower mount before that and the 50g training book to ride and the many other expensive things when 80% of the population is only buying stuff for 10-50 silver.

I have always been a fan of the art that is accomplished in this game. I am really looking forward to the new content since I have spent the last season in godslayer.

I also like the fact that they did a revamp of Field of the Dead and E mtns. And the fact that this new zone gives the option for players to level here, then auto adjusts for levels 50 and up.

@Craig(Sirloin) Can we possibly see more points awarded to subscribers like LOTRO does? In the long run I can see how my plate will be full of two steaks and not just one.

no1 will care about AOC once GW2 and TOR come out. it will simply recede into the background, and probably shut down soon after.

the Conan movie that's coming out is an embarrassment for the franchise. im all about CGI, but the original one with Arnie still looks better that the atrocity thats coming out.

I felt the same about the movie until I saw the trailer with the kid and ron pearlman, now I can't wait to see it.

Also I don't know why people are hating on Jason Mamoa just because he's Hawaiian or isn't Arnold. Imho he resembles a lot of conan art more than Arnold did.

@tavtav

Cimmerian =/= Pacific Islander. Also, he is just plain and simply too small. Arnold may have even been bigger than necessary, but he just isn't a believable Conan, sorry to say. Your average nobody off the street looks more like Conan than Jason Momosa.

As far as Age of Conan, I'm glad for the game, that it's doing better. It may not be perfect, but at least its developer didn't give up on it and unofficially maintenance-mode it like EA/Bioware/Mythic did with WAR.

I'd like to take a moment to laugh at the new Conan movie, regardless of what this update brings to the game.

Ha-Ha-Hawaiian Conan-Haaaa.
