It's also worth noting that the matching system / queues have been borked for over a week now, and the PvP community is very upset over it as this is a game-breaking bug that has gotten very little upfront attention from the devs. I know they're transitioning to PW over there but for the few pvpers left, there is nothing to do.

CO has been a fun experiment for me, but for PvP there are just so many other games that do PvP well (LoL/HoN, and Bloodline Champions come to mind) that there is no reason to invest any serious time/effort on my part within CO. I have 0 faith in the design of the games themselves, save for ZA and possibly MAYBE SH (if they ever balance it right, it would be fun). BASH is impossible to balance, and UTC (which should be the premiere team based pvp mode) is a feeder nightmare with consistent imbalanced matches (2v5... REALLY?). Players constantly leave ALL PvP matches early, and many PvEr's hope into PvP as a way of leaving PvE content early (and then leave the PvP match, imbalanced). If CO can't even bother to set up some really basic rules to enforce consistent PvP play, then they can't even start to balance the games correctly... so why any PvPer would want to endure that, I dunno.

It's sad too because with a few sensible changes they could really turn it around.

I haven't tried much playing freeform pvp, but the AT pvp is pretty nice, not completely balance but definitely better.

I have to agree about the queuing issues. Also, some people use pvp queues to reset pve instances for farming. The should give a buff to the smallest team so it would turn into a more interesting encounter. I remember a game that has that but I dont remember which one.

A PvP review was announced weeks ago, along with a rewards review.

Who knows? In time we may see some handy items or devices that help close the gap in builds a little, but it could be a year's wait.
