Now if only they'd let us bind keypresses to mouse buttons (sometimes it's the little things that chip away at you lol)!!!!

FW is an interesting game, PW is going to position itself in the NA market and bring in some interesting, better-priced-than-nexon, gaming. I suspect they're here for the long haul.

@(Unverified) The thing is though, once you played a PW game you played them all. They all just seem reskins of the same game.

@Raikulxox

Torchlight, Champion's Online, STO, Neverwinter (in the next year), Rusty Hearts.

It looks like they're moving away from that no?

I don't think any one of those is developed by PW.

They're not, but they're companies that PW has purchased in order to diversify the kinds of games and content they have. PW has already stated that the technology the companies they buy out goes back to them in case they want to use anything so...

The first few levels of FW were great, but once I got to the central city the game became very unfocused and I lost any motivation to continue. Lack of direction in a theme park is not a good thing.

It may have seemed daunting when you arrive in the city, but when you use your quest log to navigate by clicking on destinations and have it 'auto-route' you, this makes it very simple to travel and quest without the worry of getting lost.

Great game, worth a look for sure... but I have a few gripes that need attention.
Quest log retains unwanted quests, you can't delete them and they fill your log where taking other quests becomes a chore when trying decide what to keep within the 20 quest limit... currently I have 10 quests that cannot be removed, and even if you do them they return the next day as repeatable.

Nearly EVERY quest in FW is a fed-ex run, many where you must spend your own game cash to buy the requested quest item. There are 30 'dailys' provided in the main city from Henry, they supply the best EXP and reputation, you are nearly forced to run these daily or your progress will be slow at best, stalled completely at worst.
Some of these quests will require items you will not be able to obtain for one reason or another, in these cases you must buy the right for another quest or wait 2 hours if you abandon the quest. IMHO it's never a good idea to request items the player cannot obtain... the game suggests buying the item from others, but they are seldom found in the auction house or if it is the price is designed to make you regret having to purchase it.

Fishing is terrible, both the normal fishing and the tournament... if you can get 250 medals in 30mins even with getting a golden fish or two, you are a better gamer than me, or most of us. Why make it semi-impossible?

At some points this MMO RPG turns in to a bad arcade mini game, these are annoying, out of place and force you to repeat them over and over until you get it right... and some force you to wait 5mins between each try, making it even more time consuming and maddening.
These would be okay, but the 90% of the game never requires you to be an arcade pro, in fact it goes out of the way to make it painless, so running into these road blocks that require arcade skills seems odd.

I'm not a fan of games that sell items for real cash, and I'm even more against games that sell you an item with a failure rate, this amount to gambling... pay for an item it should do what it says, not fail and cost you More real cash.
Also, there is a fair amount of lottery items in this game, buy the "Bag of Crap" and see what you get... maybe a pet, mount or a totally (mostly) useless chat item, guess what you'll get (hint: chat item)
If you enjoy scratch offs and are willing to gamble real cash for pixels... have at it.

Lastly, the player base... so far I've encountered some nice players and some Very bad players, when I say bad, I mean those who feel they own all they survey, they will ninja, boot you from a group for no reason and roll need on Everything, luckily I have found very cool players too that are friendly and helpful. Seems about 60/40 on the good side so far.

All this QQ is by no means meant to discourage you from trying or playing FW, there is much to be seen and enjoyed, but it has it's problems, most can be easily addressed if the owners are made aware
it causes players pain.

I believe the quests that magicly return are linked to other quests in your log. I just do everything that I get and this isn't much of an issue. (Yes even if I don't want to do the daily or whatever it's forcing me to do.)

I've never spent a cent in this game, you can skip the Mides Touch quests etc. (I apologize if I spelled that wrong, I haven't played in a while.)

The game is flawed in places, yes.... But it is a free to play, you kinda come to expect these things.

Last chance to regain MMORPG respect... pick up your pants off the floor, put away the bong, shut of the LCD light on your hat, turn off Firefly reruns... and Write MORE FW Stuff!

Welcome to the Forsaken World on Massively!

This is the red-headed stepchild of MMORPG's. Notice there has been no new posts, no new updates, no character 'Adventures', nothing to indicate Anyone at Massively gives a damn about this game.

Nope, they are playing WoW, cause we all know how much help and advice those players need... 6 years of crap hasn't covered it all yet.
If a dev there farts Massively is there to tell All of you how it smells and what flavor to expect next.

And they play Rift, a game Any self-respecting gamer can suck dry in 3-4 months, yet day after day Massively feels that Rift players need more hand-holding, that Scott what-ever-his-name-is might not give another enlightening interview promising more events and content for bored level 50 players... and Massively will be there to hold your hand through it, even though an imbecile with a blindfold could figure it out.

Nope, no FW here, we are unworthy, a bunch of invisible gamers that Massively considers geniuses, since no advice is offered to assist us.

I guess unless the developers shower the folks here with free crap and promised a place at E3 booth they don't care? Is all it takes is a poster, a pen, a coffee cup, a t-shirt, a digital pet or some other 'gift' to get attention here?

Maybe I start my own Blog and show some love to games other than WoW, Rift, Guildwars and SWOR, maybe this blog has become like a politician, they don't care unless someone is greasing the palm, I really don't know, but I DO know they have ignored this game even though there have been dozens of changes, dozens of special events, dozens of talents that need discussion, dozens of new pets, hunting pets, mounts, and many 1000's of new players via the largest digital distribution network, Steam.

NO ONE HERE CARES.

All I ask is WHY.

I poke fun at Massively... they are a great crew, but ya'all piss me off sometimes when you cuddle the WoW players, lick the boots of Rift players yet provide Nothing for FW.
You have a great chance here to haul in all the new players that are leaving Rift & WoW for FW, but you seem blind & deaf to us... like you
have a horse in the race as opposed to cheering for all the horses.

It's gotten to the point that Massively should be ashamed of itself.

Your ignoring of this title lets your readers down to the point where we All have to wonder if you truly are just an arm of other titles.

If you think the 1000's of FW players are not worthy of a simple heads-up here once in awhile in regard to this game, then maybe you are not worthy of our time to visit.

Enjoy Rift and WoW, and sink with them too.

See ya.
