@Hurbster Does that mean I can only buy them if I'm black, or are they just telling us they're only giving us people the cheapest clothing in the game!

Q: How do you spot a ganking sociopathic 'bag in EVE?
A: Cheesy 1970s sunglasses and bad haircuts.

(Seriously, go browse some goonswarm profiles and tell me I'm wrong...)

@ApathyCurve

If you're talking about the image above, you're wrong because that's one of my characters and I'm about as far from a ganking 'bag as it's possible to be.

@Jef Reahard

Jef, I hear players refer to EVE players as "Sociopaths" very often. I think this is a mischaracterization of the more colorful EVE players. The correct term for this phenomenom is "Schadenfreude."

noun
satisfaction or pleasure felt at someone else's misfortune.

What do you think?

I think you're probably right about the terminology. Sociopath is too strong of a word for most MMO gankers/griefers. I will say, though, that the desire to screw with others (and derive pleasure from it), comes from the same dark place inside of all of us, and the behavior is unfortunate no matter how we choose to label it.

"The only offering in that particular price range is a pair of black men's boots."

What about the white man's boots? Or the Hispanic's?

It is a bribe, and I am not interested.
As much as i love the sci-fi feel of EvE, the game is just too much work.
Let's hope for Mass Effect MMO in the future, because I am playing the original right now and loving it.

What a fucking joke, its just a trap to break you in to buy shit in their virtual store.

Enjoy my last month of sub CCP

@Eric Francis

Have to agree there. Both of my accounts ran out on the 28th of last month. Instead of focusing on fixing EVE, (balancing issues, local, 0.0 warfare, supercaps, PvE) they worry about piecing out content that should be included in our sub. They are screwing over the playerbase that got the to where they are.

EVE was my last hope, I am now out of online gaming. I am completely against MT, and if everyone is going this way then my way is the door.

"everyone going this way..." is the biggest load of carpe diem ive ever heard.

They keep talking about this in their articles. Its such a lie.

They turn their games F2P as a last resort. They are loosing massive amounts of subs and so they sell out and turn their games into crapfestivals to try and squeeze a few last pennies from their loyal customers.

And its not "everyone". Just some.

There are still alot of 1st gen 2nd gen mmo's that havent sold out.

Whats going to be interesting, is seeing what happens when the 3rd season of mmorpg's start coming out. And people remember who is who when it comes to developers.

What makes it so awful, is the way CCP has zero respect for the people who literally fund all their endeavors.

For all the trash talking and what not, EVE had a very loyal playerbase. The players turn out in droves for Fanfest, sub many many accounts, and are just loyal.

And then CCP turns around and does their business all over those loyal customers, right in their face. One lie after another. F2P. P2W. MT db.

When did the mmorpg industry turn into health care industry?

sick and tired of seeing denounce of ccp's morality just because they did something one doesn't like. I, for one, wouldn't give too much respect to those who think too highly of themselves.

Your opinion and respect matters little if you can't see what is right in front of you. Accept your abuse, but we would see them fall.
