Cute, but it is a facebook game. If only there was a real DungeonKeeper online!

The thing most facebook games lack is an end goal. In word games the end goal is to prove you're good with words. In puzzle games the end goal is to finish the puzzle and prove your mental prowess. In video games the end goal is to reach the end of the storyline. In MMOs the end goal is usually some sort of power or prestige in owning top gear. In facebook games there's no goal...you just collect crap that nobody knows about and you go on and on and on doing the same thing every day without any sort of idea of why you're doing it.

Um... actually that last bit sounds a lot like MMOs to me.
Especially since last month's "top gear" is today's vendor trash.

Completely agree. No matter how devs usually try to paint it, *most* end game is some sort of treadmill. :(

You misunderstand. The end goal isn't the items themselves but the power and prestige gained from the items. You don't play just so you can get the biggest and best gear, you get the biggest and best gear so you can own in PvP or show off your leet raid skills.

At least that's my take...I suppose it might be different for others. But facebook games don't have anything that offers this sort of benefit...the endgame really is just to collect crap and to me that's not really an end game at all.

"Looking for an end goal" would hopefully not be the focus of a game, hopefully it would be intrinsically fun. There is no "End goal" in counterstrike 1.6, yet it's still fun.

Bragging rights, then? Well, forgive me, but in most cases I think you'll find that no one (except maybe you) actually cares. :/

I don't even play MMOs anymore. I stopped a long time ago because none of them actually had an end goal compelling enough for me to play. The fact still remains that for a great many people "bragging rights" (which isn't a correct term really) is all they need to continue playing.

I still won't play a facebook game. It's just defiling your account.
