Here's a screenshot from the upcoming martial arts game Blade & Soul. It's a lot of fun; I found myself wandering around, enjoying myself while looking at this game's beautiful landscapes and light effects.Next week's One Shots theme is Some Assembly Required, and yes, it's a little nod to Massively's newest column. If you'd like to participate, send your best screenshot of content that you've created to us at oneshots@massively.com. It can be a house you built, an item you crafted, or anything you like as long as it came from your two (virtual) hands. Include your name, the game, and a little description of the image, and we'll feature it here on Massively!
Here's my character's encounter with some tall bird - maybe a crane? Seeing them looking at each other, I start to wonder which one is supposed to be the animal; the staid and calm bird, or the wild, bored child. Not to mention her ears and tail. Maybe they both have their own part of humanity? This MMORPG is incredible, so I'd like to show everyone the very nice job the developers did. Enjoy!
Today's entry is a newcomer to One Shots, courtesy of Yuurei:

So some people are actually playing it, in some sort of beta I assume? The news about B&S rarely comes to the US. I haven't really heard anything about it in a year or so. Be nice to get an actual update and see if it was coming to the states or not.

The first closed beta was done in Korea recently, which shows the game's prologue/tutorial and a bit more.

It's made by NCSoft, so I'd say there's a high likelihood there'll be an English release (eventually), though I think it's likely China or Japan will get their release first. Such games usually performs much better in the Asian market. The Western market as a percentage of NCSoft earnings is very small.

It's supposedly coming to the states, but it will be like any other port, it'll be about a year or more after it launches in Asia before we see it.

Calling a Lyn a "child" is something of a misnomer.
They're cute midgets, not children. :p They do grow past the age of 13, y'know...

It's definitely on my radar. My first intial impression of this interesting title is a hybrid of Soulcalibur and Street Fighter, adapted for the MMO sensibility.

This is a game I am seriously debating getting when it launches on Korea despite the fact that lag/not being able to read anything/having to deal with the possible IP lock will be a pain. IT'S JUST SO FREAKING PRETTY! That and it does seem pretty fun too, but that comes after how pretty it looks.
