This game gets more and more amazing. It's like a mirage in a desert...is it real? Or will it vanish upon release?

@Tyrang I have read it's in the neighborhood of $60 million. But it may be hearsay.

Before people flip out about a weird app. This is the Korean app. I'm sure the NA/Europe app will be different and not so...well, you know.

Anyway, this video is un-freaking-believable. The game looks stunning.

@Grumms I hope it stays the same, actually. I want a French maid that will respond to the various body parts I press against the screen.

Silly Archeageans... gliders don't work that way!

P.S. I don't want to know what was the bit at the end... I'm going to pretend I didn't see it.

@Mynsc Its a personal assistant. You can reach character information, chat with people who are in-game, manage some minor stuff about your house, etc.

It most likely will have different "look" in western part of the world.

Agreed - this video actually dampened my interest in the title.

@mikejr It's just a different culture. An american app might have a longer skirt, but more cleavage. Just a difference of style.

And hopefully she'll look like she has more than 14 years. :P

Hang-gliding. Oh my god, I have never wanted something so much in an MMO ever.

Castle building looks amazing! The "app" looked disturbingly kinky, with the young girl character in her little maid outfit...

@Saker

The app sort of speaks to my concerns for this game. Will it be sufficiently accessible to non-Korean gamers?

I mean, there are a few design elements which have been known to recur in asian-made MMORPGs which just don't appeal to me as a player, and may put me off this otherwise promising game.

For example:

- I don't want eroticized 14-year-old girls in an app, or in my games, thanks.
- I'm told asian gamers are pretty comfortable with grindier MMO play. I'm dead sick of heavy grind-work in games.
- forced PvP will push me right out. If I'm going to PvP, it had better be at my choice, or I'm gone.

The one thing I'm also concerned with is, how good will the English translation and localization be?

I've played other asian RPGs where some of the badly-translated dialogue is pretty much beyond comprehension.

If all the NPC characters talk like drunk five-year-olds, it makes it very hard for me to connect to a game.

I hope ArcheAge proves me wrong, but these are my fears.

Don't get over exited about a trailer.
Remember Aion, and all thoses games promising awesome and "never seen before" features.

Mortal online seemed great before release. As did Aion. As did champions online. As did Warhammer.

This game can live up to it's expectation, but a trailer won't convince me.

@Zuljundwumn

Except that:

1. Most of this trailer is ingame stuff.
2. All of it already in game at launch(and at betas)

I think his point was that a LOT of MMOs look amazing on paper when you list the creatively described features but then when they release they end up very boring.

Interesting, I guess gliders work upside down because China is on the other side of the earth? I don't get the French maid connection is she a pet or something. Any how if it ever releases in NA I will certainly go for it.
