The long wait for Lord of the Rings Onine's third expansion is coming to a middle, but it seems even longer every time Turbine teases us with a few inside glimpses of Saruman's zip code. Today we've been treated to six new pictures from Rise of Isengard: three from the Gap of Rohan, and three from the tower of Orthanc (spoiler alert, it's one of the titular "Two Towers").
The Gap of Rohan shots primarily show off the various types of camps in the zone, whether they be friend or foe, whereas the Orthanc pictures demonstrate the twisted grandeur of the white wizard.
These pictures come hot on the heels of another trio of screenshots showing off the expansion's third zone, Dunland. Rise of Isengard is slated for a September 27th release, but the closed beta begins today!

@JohnLane If you're going to troll can you at least do it in Ebonics if you can't type any half assed English; I'm too tired to even bother trying to decipher this code from mind of some one under 100 IQ.
P.S. I know that probably came out sounding worst then I meant to but I'm running on 3 hours sleep so I'm not feeling too coherent atm.

Love the screenshots. I have received two emails so far from Turbine asking me to take part in the Beta for Rise of Isengard, but I do not want to do it because I don't want to spoil the fun when the expansion goes live. I love that feeling of seeing something for the first time, and I would rather experience it on the live servers instead of the PTS where everything I do will be wiped.

Sorry for the late response. The Beta that I am invited to is conected to my account, so there is no Beta Key.

Btw on the John Lane thing, I didn't see the post it apparently it is gone. That said from other/older posts by him that I read I'd assume two things though I might be wrong.
1. English as a second language.
2. Young.
Might want to be a bit more patient with him. Or at least keep your critical remarks directed at his remarks and not him. Reading at least two posts in response to his now vanished post was painful since they are clear violations of Massively's posting policies.

Looks great.! Can't wait!
I always expected orthanc to be bigger. After dol guldur, though, this place looks absolutely dinky.

Everytime I've seen a picture of Orthanc it gets smaller and less impressive.
I thought the first concept painting was totally great but it's gone downhill since then-more like the Orthanc in the movie I think.
That place in NE Angmar is more impressive (Dol Guldur was Sauron's former hangout so I'd think it would be larger).
Are these even screenshots?

Is it me or are the environments in LOTRO just spectacular yet every other aspect of the graphics, i.e. animations, buildings, creatures, characters just look like some third rate artist drew them?
It boggles my mind to look at a picture. I start at the sky and go oooh, nice than move down to forest, mountains, lakes and say the same, but then in the bottom or in the corner is this ugly character or hut that completely ruins the whole scene.
Although...the night time lights in the cities and building are done quite well. Like how the lights glow as if people are inside all cozy and warm.

In-game with a bit of cosmetic outfit tweaking I don't think the character models look too bad, but certainly the sky and environments are really stunning!
The sky they have here reminds me of Enedwaith. Tower-wise, I think Dol Guldur has impressed me the most but I have high hopes for Orthanc too :-)

On ultra setting with high texture, the game looks stunning. The weakest thing in my opinion are the character faces. I personally love how the armor, weapons and clothing look. I grew weary of the over sized toon style gear of WoW a long time ago. I love the realistic look to armor, weapons, clothing etc.
The only big improvement they could do would be on character face, hair etc settings in my opinion.
