The name of this MMO is definitely NOT generic.

@NeverDeath Definitely better than the usual Korean naming conventions (like two random words, or one number one noun; I suspect the number noun thing must have some significance in Korean culture that is lost in translation).

"Gameplay details are scarce, but we'll bring you more info on Chinese Hero Online as it becomes available"

I'm willing to predict that it's the umpteenth on umpteenth kutesy grindfest cash shop clone and that it will bring nothing new to the table.

If I'm proved wrong then there'll be no-one more delighted than me and I shall gladly admit it here!

Still looking for a decent Chinese/Asian game, but it seems they're stuck in a rut just as well as western ones, and old imports don't help. Still, maybe this one could be it...

@Haleth

The game is set in the 1930's. Of course there will be blimps.

They have a sub-genre fad that's been going lightly for a few years involving movies mainly. I wouldn't quite say "Indiana Jones in China", but that'd be close to it.

Actually, in Asian cinema, there are a few movies that sort of "fantasize" about several more recent periods in China/Asia. The 1800's and some Cowboy-Western, the "God Father" 1930's, and a few more. This was a period of radical cultural change when Asia was more involved with the West, although the movies romanticize and exaggerate the American influences while mixing it into old-style China (like, too many people dressing in three-piece suits and fedoras).

So, this MMO probably will not be "cutesy", but that's not to say it won't be "grindy".
