Are there real people actually playing this game? I tried it for a week, and I was impressed with some of the features (puzzle-based quests!) but I was completely turned off by the number of macro-ing and botting characters I saw. Most of the harvesting nodes I came across were populated by little trains of macro-ing bots, and I saw more characters that acted like bots than I saw of people. If I saw a character that actually acted like a real person was on the other side on the screen, I was actually surprised.

@DeadlyAccurate The f2p servers are infested with bots. It's understandable why there's so many, since it's a browser game requiring no big download and low requirements. On the p2p servers, though, it's way better bot wise.

(And I'm not excusing Jagex for allowing bots on there game. They released a dev blog a week or so ago, saying there going to be trying some new attempts at tracking and getting rid of them.)

I have the utmost respect for this game but...I just CANNOT get into it. I'm not sure what it is. I've tried multiple times to really, really play. It would be a great time killer at work.

But, much respect to Jagex. That game really does have some cool features.

Hmm I uninstalled the open source client recently. Maybe I'll check this feature out soon.
