Half of the stuff they mentioned was coming to EQ2, they couldn't even answer questions on from the audience.

Which leads me to believe lots of the features are still in concept.

I think they sounded desperate to retain customers moving to RIFT and SWTOR.

Too little too late SOE, you tried to keep EQ2 on life support without spending a dime on the upkeep just like VG, and now it'c come back to bite you.

I played it for 5 years, was a great game when it was being treated with love by the devs.

@Pitt literally nothing in that post is true lol.

SWTOR/BioWare don't answer questions about every little feature in full, are they desperate too?
The time for retaining people from going to Rift has come and gone. Most of the people who would leave to go play Rift have already done so. By BioWares own admission their crafting isn't robust, opposed to EQ2's which is quite extensive and can be played as their own classes.

Comparing EQ2 to VG in terms of development support? How ignorant of you. EQ2 just got it's 7th expansion earlier this year and announced their 8th. How many has VG got again?

@Neiloch tbh EQ2 was all downhill starting with TSO. I wouldn't even call them expansions. 1 overland zone, 15ish instances in sets of 3 that are just re-hashes of the same one. And a few raid instances that are just the heroic ones with raid bosses. Itemization keeps getting worse. EQ2 is still losing players, how many servers are they down to now?

@Pitt

Yep that sums it up.
EQ2 has been put on cash shop life support.

Was fun before $oE let greed replace quality. After SWG, EQ2 and Identity theft I will never give them another penny, even with our PS3's.

To me Smedbucks/$oE deserves the same fate as the Goldman Sachs banksters.
