@(Unverified) I really feel bad sometimes for gamer gals and I would like to apologize for that creepy minority of my gender... I really hope for a time where it just doesn't matter what chromosomes, body parts, skincolour or what have you one might have

@(Unverified) In the virtual world, I think it's easy to confuse flirtation and being a gentleman. I like to consider myself the latter. For instance, offering to let a lady collect a dropped item. It's disheartening to hear a reply back like "kthx bro!" Point your finger and call me a flirt?--that's your right. I like to argue I'm a good, old-fashioned, genuine gentleman.

Sorry, it’s still offensive to me. I do not see the reason behind it – I am a person who has contributed to the particular fight as much as everyone in the group. Why should my boobs (virtual or real) matter during looting.

Character/guild names is the only thing that comes to mind. Than can be worse than piles of putrefying carcasses.

I know it sounds silly, but I absolutely cannot handle when people curse in chat. I normally have the word filter active, but some of that garbage still makes it through. I can honestly say that throughout the many games I have played, the word filter has been the most neglected; and the online verbiage has become even more despicable, compared to games 10 years ago. If they can add the f word to a filter list, why not F*ck, Fuk, etc. We haven't advanced enough to filter out these word variations? What about the children that play these games with the filter on? Don't they see these words too?

Children shouldn't be playing these games.

@Bladerunner83 I guess the game I play have good filters because all I ever get is the @!~@$%^$#% things. I've never seen someone curse in a game the whole time I've been playing.

Maybe you shouldn't care so much about words or the silly restrictions society has arbitrarily put on verbiage and vocabulary...

Not even games rated Everyone, if you're worried about it.
It's not like they *have to* play online games. Look, when we were kids we survived growing up without online-MMO's, kids of the current generation will as well.

If you're that worried about your kids learning bad words from the Internet - don't let them on Internet.

Problem solved.

After wracking my brain for about 12 whole minutes to come up with something gross that's actually related to the game and not the players, I gave up and decided to go with...400 times a day running into the cast of the Dark Elf/Icewind Dale Trilogies spelled funny so it would make it through the name filter.

Odd. I've been playing LOTRO for four years, and I've never seen that cow.

Nothing really grosses me out, but while we're on the subject of LOTRO, I hate that gnawing, chewing at your flesh sound that wolves and the like make in LOTRO while they are attacking you.

@wfseg: Ah, now I remember...in the swamp in the Shire. Of course the reason why I didn't remember is that I hate questing in the Shire. :)

Not much...though all of the digging through poop quests in WoW did get a little old. Felt like my 5 year old was writing those quests.
