Yeah I could go buy it from amazon, and pay the inflated price I'd have to pay, but why should I have too?

Also do you know at least 2 of the 3 new SW movies were filmed in Australia?

go leave your retarded comments elsewhere

Alright I'll give you that (even though it was the inepitude of brithish commanders that led to that), now why dont you read up on the Pacific theatre of that war?

or Gallipoli in WW1 or the battle of Long Tan in vietnam or battle of Kapyong in the korean war

"If you want to look great you'll have to make scarifies in combat strength."

Direct quote from the panel.

No Bioware, just because WoW forces everyone to look the same doesn't mean you have to do it too.

"Are you able to customize the armor of both you and your companions?

Certainly; that was already one of the ways you could customize your companion, but we added in this actual base physical customization to give people even more opportunity to customize them. I think you saw during the presentation. You can certainly change the color of the skin, and I think there are going to be a couple of other options that are going to be available to you."

Direct quote of Dallas Dickinson in interview at SDCC 2011

Yeah no. Exploitative pricing scheme, samey gameplay, and other general crap aside, there isn't a chance in hell you're going to get me to buy into a "limited release" for an MMO. Who the hell are you shitting with this artificial scarcity crap. And don't use the tired excuse of "but it's going to be soooo popular that they have to" no, its called you don't freaking launch until your infrastructure can handle the obvious anticipated load.

I can't be the only one that watches these videos and thinks "this looks like complete garbage."

I thought the animations would have improved by now, this close to release.

annnd this is why I don't like playing games with kids. They are only concerned with how shiny something looks like and flashiness.

They don't read quests, they don't want to group, they have no sense of game immersion and they only want to level to max in two weeks. They'll try and blow through the game while click clicking on quests and remark at how easy and fast the game was.

Thank goodness Bioware is making actual reading and paying attention to the story necessary so they can all head to Tera or something where they can just kill each other for three months then quit.

I've personally seen PvE and PvP and I think it looks AMAZING. Graphics, animations and mechanics-wise. And I have a high standard for MMO's too.

PvP btw guys, un-freakin'-real! Think it'll be the best PvP ever!

I know that a brave statement but I honestly haven't seen such good PvP in an MMO in over 10 years of playing MMOs!

Meh... I want to be excited about this game but the more I see of it the less excited I become. I don't know if it is the game itself, the rather unimpressive choice of cartoony graphics or that is is basically a voiced-over version of the standard MMO faire of the last decade but it just continues to lose its appeal more and more to me.

I love Star Wars as much as the next fan, but that alone will not get me over how stale the game play has become in most MMOs. I understand BioWare's decision to go with the familiar, but for the amount of money they have invested in this perhaps they should have started with some market research to discover how burnt out so many gamers are on the current MMO game model.

I firmly believe this is probably why GW2 is having the opposite effect for so many - most MMO players are just plain burnt out on the standard faire of limited content, excessive grind and ArenaNet seems to be the only studio that understands this just isn't fun. Lore or IP is not going to make a stale game model any better, it is just going to give it some early launch life.

Personally, I want to play this but I will pass for the time being and wait until after launch to see the real feedback. Hopefully, if the feedback is positive, that will finally incent me to try it, but for now I will remain at a pass and keep waiting for GW2.

I'm currently testing this game. Everyone who is formulating a judgement based off of videos should hold up. It is a lot more fun to play than it looks. A lot. This is going to be a hit.

I am looking forward to swtor. I am playing through kotor1 and 2 in anticipation of swtor. StarWars Galaxies was my first MMO and I enjoyed the game preNGE

Bioware have really done some things right
voice over
quality of the graphics
Synchronized fighting
setting the game 3000 years before the movies
pvp looks very good

some things they are doing wrong
space combat doesnt look to be what anyone expected.
no atmospheric flying..Im not expecting wow but something would be good.
no swimming?
No starwars esque mini games? where is pazzak ?
no player bounties - I understand why not.

and it goes on ...I preordered and I am wet for this game.

Preorder asap, meaning... "the earlier you lay your money out, the earlier you get to make a terrible Jedi." (http://www.diedagain.com/swtor-pre-orders-go-live-release-date-imminent) Ha, challenge accepted!

Can't wait to play this, still a sucker for a Star Wars theme even if it were nothing more than a WoW reskin. But this looks great so far.

While the graphics aren't ground breaking they are taking a page from Blizzard and making a game that can run on any machine. That is probably a smart idea. I don't necessarily see anything that reminds me of WoW like alot of you folks but WoW was a clone of every MMO that came out before it. As long as SWTOR releases content that requires people to actually play in the game world, I think they will get a segment of players that are homeless at the moment.

Every other MMO out right now is based on give it to me now mechanics and innovations that seriously make them suck and have no life. I guess we will see where this game goes but from my point of view, it looks like a game that can keep me interested in playing for more than 2 months at a time like every other MMO out right now.
