I have been playing STO off and on for awhile, But i haven't checked out this new update. I do however find it a lot more fun if i play with a group of people. Can anyone suggest a fleet to join?

@ployer There are a few great ones out there, actually! It just depends on the playstyle and community you are looking for. Priority One podcast (www.thequantumcafe.com/priorityone) will be starting their Fleet Admiral interviews soon so you can listen in for one that is right for you. Also, they have a Fleet directory here: http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/07/14/captains-log-season-four-launch-recap/ ~Brandon

I seem to have a lot of problems with the dailies, they get stuck a lot and won't complete even after finishing off all the objectives.

I am really enjoying my time in Star Trek Online! The new combat update is awesome and just feels a whole lot better. The nice thing is that Cryptic did not do away with the old way of doing ground combat which is called RPG mode. So for those that like that better than the new "shooter mode" can still play the ground combat like they have been.

The new Qo'nos First City looks great and feels more Klingon than the original city did.

The Borg noew being able to adapt to your weapon is awesome and feels more like I am fighting a borg instead of just another enemy.

I have the graphics maxed out and I can see a difference to the way the graphics look after this update. It does look a lot better.

There is just to much to list on what I love about this update. And I agree with everything you have posted. Star Trek Online has come a long way and Cryptic has done a great job with the updates and communicating with the playerbase.

"...the signs pointing you to your destination are written in Klingon and only flash in English every so often."

Actually, they are in Klingon until you get close, then they change automatically to English.

Looks like this producer is really leading his team and his team is working their butts off.

@Nottom It's definitely not the STO when it first came out. I came into the game just 2 months ago and I was rather skeptical myself of the game's current status. But the team really did a great job turning it around, and I see more new people coming in everyday.

This new season is a quantum leap forward when it comes to the new shooter mode. It makes every ground mission feel different than any of the previous times youve played it. Tho, healer toons can still play in RPG mode without change.

The new Qo'nos and Gorn are freaking awesome.

Sure there were some hiccups, but that'll get ironed out soon enough.

I agree. This just makes me even more glad that I bought the lifetime sub. :)

Must... start... new... KDF... toon. Really, I don't think the KDF side is now on-par with the Feds (and I don't think they'll be anytime soon), but they have had tons of new content thrown their way, and a majority of this update went to a lot of KDF love. Overall, STO is really turning into a top notch MMO.

I checked out that forum page... If anything, it convinced me of all the stuff they HAVE implemented on the KDF side since launch especially when the % of KDF players is significantly lower. Yes, when the game launched, it was half-baked. I tried it out, and left. However, when I saw all the work that was being put into it and all the communication, I came back and haven't been happier.

Your blatant "game is still crap" just tells me you don't play it and never really did. Season 4 is an awesome addition. If anybody is quitting over Season 4, they're not the most mature players to begin with. "What? Fixes?! Changes to previously boring gameplay?! More content?! Added challenge?! Thats ridiculous!! I quit!!". Good riddance and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I might resub soon, but I'm concerned about this whole Cryptic buyout thing. I'd like to see where it goes first.

@cowboyhugbees Perfect World also bought Runic Games a couple years back. They gave them more resources and left them alone. Look how good Torchlight came out to be.

Cryptic will be more than fine, they'll just keep getting better.

Really enjoying my time in STO. The revamped ground combat is a huge improvement and the graphical update makes the game look better AND run better. Cryptic has turned out to be one of my favorite devs after much improvement.

Who would have thought that there would be so much love for Cryptic and STO after reading the hatred on this website a year ago? Just goes to prove that MMOs are a long term thing, not a single-player RPG game that only lasts 6 weeks. Hopefully the same will be said about RIft a year from now once all the haters leave.
