A great example of Cosplay done right.

Cosplay done wrong is...well, just so very wrong.

Yeah I walked straight into a post last year looking at one at one women dressed up like a Mesimer My Dad thought it was hilarious. There are some seriously gorgeous women who wear very little attending...unlike when We flew to Comicon in NYC omg I have never seen so many fat middle aged women ( and men) dressed up in my life it was gross.

Looking forward to going back to GC this year.

HAHA. I totally misunderstood that statement at first and I thought by "I walked into a post" you meant you stumbled upon a blog "post" here on Massively about cos-play.

You LITERALLY walked into a post?! I feel dumb now too. :)

Ooooh, a costume competition. How ... completely ... not fun.

Come on, ArenaNet, announce the game's release or new information about the game or at least something actually worthwhile, and then I'll be interested.

@Tempes Magus

I know, I know. It's just that I'm just weary of headlines that grab my attention:

"Gamescom 2011: ArenaNet announces Guild Wars … "

.. . and then fizzle into something as inane as a "... costume competition."

While the girl in the pic is attractive/hot... I think I'm with ya. Maybe it's just me but I'd really like some kind of State of the Game message to come from ANet. Are we any closer to beta? Especially since games like ArcheAge are releasing beta footage now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a closed beta announcement come out of Gamescom or PAX Prime. They've been wary of giving state-of-the-game reports or anything that encourages fans to jump to, "ArenaNet said they had X finished! They said they were almost done!" when they might have to go back and redo things or whatever.

they just started their tie-in story line for faction, we are gonna have to sit through that AND the one for nightfall before GW2 comes out.

not that Arena Net has to go through those story lines prior to releasing GW2 or GW2 wont make sense, they have to go through those story lines because NCSoft knows damned well that they need to milk the shit out of those titles while the still can ... even if that means delaying GW2 for abstract reasons.

hopefully this break that they took after the Prophecies arc was was to develop the content for both games prior to starting the events and that we wont have another long ass pause between the start of the factions arc and the start of the nightfall one.

I agree with you here a little bit. I hope the people who get into cos-play have a good time and the fans attending get something out of it, but for me it's about the GAME and new info.

That being said I fully trust and support Anet for taking their time and I will be patient for as long as they need. Unlike SWTOR, which I'm excited to play too but not as patient with Bioware at this point because of their hype and budget. (It should be out by now) Anet is much smaller and doing things on a much GRANDER scale even, that they get totally and unconditional support from muah.

Eurogame Expo is shaping up to be awesome this year. And it's a smaller event so more time with the games so less queues

If I remember there was a time when the massively crowd were always complaining about female in TERA lacking armor on their body and now it's almost as if some are having some froth dangling from their mouth.
