I wish Trion would add more zones and give them interesting lore. We need alternate leveling paths!

@Viper2KRT

I'd like some interesting races added. I tried RIFT during the beta but the races were so bland, it's one of the main reasons I never bought it.

Agreed about the lack of interesting-looking races!

I'd love to see more races added, a whole new continent (world too small), ways to advance your character instead of gear grinding (Alternate Advancement), meaningful crafting, meaningful solo content, meaningful rift content for people who don't raid, and more fluff (Housing, mini games etc).
Till then I'll be watching. :)

I really like these two, and I'm glad to see them continuing the story.

Rift feels like there's no depth to the lore in my opinion.

Tbh, I really love the lore in Rift. It's one of my favorite things in the game. At some point, i thought it was lacking depth too... Then i dug deeper ;)

Really enjoyed. The relationship between Kira and Uriel is maybe the best characterization in the game.

@Silverangel There are a ton of interesting characters in Rift, but unlike Kira and Uriel, none of them are explained well or at all.

Rift has great characters but the game do not service them by unfolding those stories to the players like other games such as WoW or Vanguard did with its diplomacy system.Instead Trion chose the path of least resistance and streamlined both story and game play.

@Valdur

If Blizzard were in charge of RIFT's lore:

1. Asha Catari would be a whining, subservient basket case.

2. Orphiel will have secretly fathered a Gary Stu son with super powers.

3. Regulos would be released, only to destroy a couple buildings in Sanctum and then inexplicably fly off to hide in a cave.

4. The actions of lore NPCs would completely overshadow the work done by players.

@real65rcncom Well, I don't like Rift myself, but your constant trolling the fanboys is rather annoying. If you don't like them, then deal with it in a productive manner. Claiming the company is underwater without proof is libel and it *can* get you in trouble online. Just sayin'.

@(Unverified) I'm waiting for him to say that adding lore is a sure sign the game is going to die soon.

I hope they add more zones since I think the whole active schedule of events didn't keep me past two months. It is a pretty game, it has some some parts to it, but most of the game is just like the rest of the theme parks. One path, one resolution, always.

I'd like to see them put in a more active quest-giving system. It doesn't have to be something as in-depth as SWtOR, but maybe along the lines of AoC? I like how you can talk to NPCs and say different things before you get a quest. It adds more immersion.

Rift's lore has so much more potential, but I really think they need to expand the world more in the lore, even if they don't actually release the zones. Like in WoW for example, you knew there was a place called Northrend before WotLK came out. In LotR, you know about Mordor even though you can't travel there yet. In AoC, there's like 20 other huge countries you could write about. I think Trion is being a little shortsighted by confining everything to the known land (which just seems small) and the elemental planes. They should hire full time writers and get an awesome wiki up and running. Lord knows I waste hours on Tolkien Gateway and WoWWiki lol

Rift would have been a lot more successful if they had stayed clear of the Raid or Die end game instead we have a smaller WoW with an even more mean spirited community
