In summary, now they're ditching SWG they can start adding MMO-esque features to their mini-games lobby.

It's actually a fun bunch of casual mini-games...I got addicted to Republic Defender (great tower defense game). Now if only they wouldn't put half of their items behind the cash shop, it'd be a lot more consumer-friendly.

It was a lot more fun than the SWTOR kill-ten-womprats demo at PAX Prime last year, at any rate (although I'm sure it's much improved since). Of course, it doesn't have too much story, but I suppose that's what the Clone Wars cartoon is for.

I just wish they'd add the combat elements from Free Realms. I'd love to take my little jedi and just go and hack n slash my way through an instance with a couple of other players.

@bobfish Yeh, I totally agree! This sounds funny...but I think Free Realms is actually geared towards an older audience than this one. Seems like they're keeping it really simple.

I have fun in it, but Free Realms has so much more to do. Then again, it's been out for longer.

Actually, SWG was and is still an AMAZING game. Ive been playing on and off for a few years and the game would have EASILY been renewed for another 7-8 years by LucasArts if one things happened...

If SOE actually PROMOTED THE GAME!!!!!!

Heck, they dont even promote their other games. Devs are still soo unbelievably ignorant and think that the current 20-25million or so players in the mmo community is all there ever will be. LOL, There are over 500 MILLION computer owners , ALL who are potential mmo gamers. The problem is some only know the name WOW and the majority dont even know mmos EXIST!!!

Devs continue to promote to the same pool of jaded, spoiled and burnt out CURRENT mmo players , when they NEED to be promoting to the hundreds of millions of NON-gamers and gamers that dont play mmos.

Think about it. All MMOS are promoted on MMO or gaming websites and blogs, and mayve have a few commercials during thier first 1-2 mos after/before release.

WOW has 12 million players - the MAJORITY of which NEVER played an mmo before and have stuck with the game since they started, because they dont know other mmos exist and didnt before!!!

PROMOTE PROMOTE PROMOTE..... CORRECTLY and ALL mmos can easily have 1-5million new players that actually APPRECIATE the game. STOP promoting to players that abuse and hate the mmo and only play to rush to end game or be "powerful"

lol,so sad...

LucasArts are the publisher for SWG, it is their responsibility to market the game, not SOEs.
