@(Unverified) Didn't they say they were stopping all major development on Vanguard awhile back?

@jeremywc

They also said Vanguard is getting a lot of buzz internally now that SWG closed.

Probably seeing if they can make it F2P.

@Yellowdancer It will get no more buzz than ever before. I mean, I love the game and have always played it...but there's a reason I refer to games like Vanguard as 'Leaving the light on" games. The bar is closed, they're cleaning up, but they'll let you keep playing songs in the jukebox and dancing.

Not a bad deal, really, when you consider how good the selection of music is.

@Beau Hindman I think what he is referring to is about a post by a community relations person on the VG forums saying: "Vanguard has gotten a lot of attention internally this past week. I do believe that a road map for the game is being worked on. When that road map will be agreed upon and ready for posting, I do not know. When that information is ready to be shared it will be posted as soon as possible." A lot has been made of what that might mean and I think many were hoping to hear something more at the fan faire.

@Clockwork72 Yeh, I'm aware of that. Again, though, a road map doesn't mean a thing. She probably means a community road map or maybe even a tidbit of development. Possibly some of the SWG devs are moving over, but who knows....point is they are done spending any good amount of money on the game.

DOn't get me wrong, I think SOE did more for that broken game when it needed it than anyone else would have. And this comes from someone who is on the Community Council and even hosted a podcast about the game. So, trust me, the last development on the game happened a while ago. We might see some events or something...

....don't let that stop you from playing, random reader of this comment, the game is fantastic. Awesome. Wonderful and epic! :)

It's actually a key fob, not a key file. :-)

Blah blah blah...stuff about guns and war and shoot-em-ups. WHAT ABOUT EVERQUEST NEXT? I had so incredibly much fun in EQ2, I can't wait to see what EverQuest Next will be like.

I felt like a lot of this Fan Faire was depressing. SWG's closure is still a sore subject for a lot of people and they just kept reminding the audience of it. They should have made it free to play.
