@real65rcncom

I'm amazed SOE hasn't done this yet with DCUO. It seems all they think about is new housing items for the Station Cash shop in Free Realms.

Good stuff. Been asking for this in City of Heroes since bases were first introduced. Maybe we'll get it now that CO has it.

Hmm, rather serendipitous that I re-subbed just a couple nights ago. I'll probably take a look.

Anyone tried it? Is it free like the first house in EQ2?

@Carolina Subscribers/lifetimers get one free. Apparently they are 500 points ($6.25 USD) in the store.

Crazy! Ever since CO went to PWI, they are exploding with creativity and new content. It seems indeed Atari was the culprit not fully supporting the CO team.

Good good.^^

Errr...not how business works.

So EQ2 gives you 7 houses per character...Lotro gives you 1 per char and a garden...Everqeust 1 gives you 3 per char...CO gives you 1 per account if you are a subscriber. Which means they are milking subscribers and freebies with this plan. Not going to support it.

Actually, EQ2 is I believe 10 houses per character. LotRO is one house per server per account.

Every character on your account can access the hideout. If they gave each character the choice of a different hideout, not a single subscriber would purchase any of them. Add that to the fact that Silver accounts only have 2 character slots, and you get a massive waste of dev resources.

it's amazing how these games just suddenly have more fluff to sell once they go f2p...

So far they only seem to have a tailor and a crime computer. A crafting station would be nice. I've seen the Sanctum and the Moonbase so far and between the two I would say the Moonbase is barren compared to the other.

In a couple weeks, we'll get more. Mostly new versions of existing ideas. We got Mom's Basement now, but in the next release, for example, we'll get High Tech Basement and Vigilante's Basement.

Price isn't that bad either, if i recall gold members get 400(?) a month anyways so toss another buck in and you can have another hideout. if it was from that snowstorm dev it would probably cost 35 for a wall to hang stuff on.

You know, every time they add something big like this I peek my head in to see how things are going in CO, but as soon as I get in I'm like "ug its the same old game".

They have the comic series running now that gives weekly missions. The first series just wrapped up and the next one is going to start next month (hopefully). They also recently released the Heavy Weapons power set. Hideouts are pretty big and every month they are doing power reviews that sometimes add new powers to existing sets.

They're getting new stuff at a pretty good rate and content is coming. I have more faith in the game now than I've ever had.
