I will pre-order as soon as they announce Bruce Campbell will be doing voice overs for the game.

@Fakeassname. I disagree. I'm sick of in-ya-face movie/game/tv trailers - they are all the same. Part of this games charm is it subtlety and the whole premise of the lore is what's hinted at not what shown. But I guess the younger generation (physically and emotionally) aren't happy unless its 2 minutes of explosions, dismemberments and machine guns.

I wish the game was actually like this.

Y'know, doing the usual stuff, living your life... and running into monsters who jump into your day. That would be awesome. It'd also be monstrously difficult to implement (more realistic The Sims combined with TPS/action game-style combat?), but dammit, I DO want to play that game!

But this game isn't it. Sigh.

You don't really want to play a game where you do every day things 99% of your playtime so you can experience that 1% holy crap! momment.

You might think you do but trust me, nobody wants to do that.

Funny, I remember hearing a similar argument about the appeal of The Sims. The fact that it spawned two sequels and a mass of expansions rather contradicts that, yes?

Besides, from the look of these trailers the ratio would not be anything like 99/1 - you run into them in the bar's restroom, at your apartment, on the street... If anything, it'd be more like 60/40.

These trailers have me itching for the potential game they depict. But then I look at the actual game footage and realize how much closer the actual game hews to contemporary MMO design. This doesn't mean the game will be bad, mind you, and most MMO game trailers are horribly misleading anyways (WoW's in particular comes to mind here), I just have a dream, silly as it is.

I think it's "EA partners" that means that all they are covering for the game is producing and distributing boxed units with some marketing thrown in.

as such they wont have anything to do with the release date or condition.

I want graphics as good as the CGI trailers, I'm not to impressed with the character models I've seen in game footage (yes, it early though, they may improve) The skin seems to glossy, and the eyes look off.
