Sony Online Entertainment's Recruit-a-Friend program (otherwise known as the powerlevel-your-alts-with-multiple-accounts program) has been a hit in EverQuest II for quite some time now. It's only natural that the initiative make its way to the original incarnation of Norrath, and SOE's Piestro has posted a notice on the official EverQuest boards marking just such an occasion.
Recruits and recruiters will enjoy a wealth of benefits including in-game mounts, bonus Station Cash, Legends of Norrath booster packs, a unique title, and of course, loads of bonus XP. Check out all the details on the o-boards, then hit up the official RaF page to get started.

Whenever "boxing" is so prevalent as a basic way to play a game, it's past it's prime (to say the least).

Hate to break it to you buddy, but people were multi-boxing in EQ at release.. 13 years ago, let alone when UO was in it's prime.

Well, EQ1 has a high sub rate for its age. Plus people are always subbing a couple months a year to see what's new. And SOE has been good to returning players by giving them all but 2 expansions for free. Also, EQ1's tech is so old that they can't offer many cosmetics and such to support a f2p model.

Isn't it a bit late for this deal? Seriously the game is older that dirt and they want to implement special deals now? The desperation of Sony these last few weeks has turned me off, the deals should have been released before the hacker issue raised concern. " Let's play catch-up now, because we slacked off on our security for years. " I will burn in hell before they get any of my personal information.
