The character in the black dress is Redmorgan, a level 220 Meta-Physicist. The black dress is a Halloween social clothes item earned from killing Halloween Leets near PvP Tower sites. The blue item in Redmorgan's hand is a bow weapon. The green monster behind Redmorgan is her pet, a mortig, which helps her do damage. MPs also have healing pets and mezz pets. Redmorgan is sitting down at a park in Omni Entertainment called "Checkers," so named because the park looks like a checkerboard on the map.Ready to show off your gear? Oh AO. I remember it lovingly. But if I want to be accurate with my memories, I think I was frustrated most of the time and didn't actually get very far... But hindsight is rosy.

Seeing Omni Entertainment sure got my nostalgia kicking. I remember many years ago that was the main spot to hang out with other players (particularly in front of the Bronto Burger stand.) I remember lots of good times there, including some awesome GM roleplaying events. I miss AO. Once that new engine comes out I am definitely getting back into it.

I'm waiting for that new engine too, but by the time it's out I might be too busy with other MMOs to be able to devote a subscription-worthy amount of time to it.
It's too bad that once you go on subscription you're locked out once the subscription expires. I wish they'd implement some limitations but still let you log in. I've got all the expansions, and a pretty high-level engineer, but I don't want to go back until they finish the new engine.

Yeah I always wished they would fix that too, but it's probably pretty complex to have a toggle for the expansion content like that. Maybe.
