To help kick off the beta, the team behind the game has released both a brand-new trailer for prospective players and a series of screenshots and concept art. While the historical period has become a popular setting, The Chosen is taking a looser approach to the setting and mixing in a greater dose of mythology, which might be just the thing to hook certain players.

The Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history has become a popular backdrop for MMOs of late (not surprising, considering the growth of the Chinese MMO market). Snail Games' The Chosen is the most recent entry in the particular sub-genre, with the game having just begun its closed beta process. The beta promises to be a fairly short one, however -- the game is due for an official launch on July 5th, allowing everyone to explore the game's open skill system and factional warfare.

Its alright, kind of what you expect from a free to play MMO that's been out for a few years. But it could be so much better with just a few small changes...
1. Ability to rotate camera
2. Modern UI
3. Less levels but same time/progress

I don't feel too good about a game where the official site only has two pages with no information accessible to people who haven't signed up. It makes me not want to sign up to see if there's anything more.

Unfortunately, Snail Games has a bad reputation of being a crappy admin staff. If you read the Heroes of Gaia or Ministry of War boards, there are tons of complaints and very little or no response from the staff.
Be wary of investing any money into their games. Ministry of War was setup to make people spend a lot then let server populations die while replacing them with new servers every 2 weeks.
Not really a good sign.
