@Beau Hindman Sweet. This ought to be interesting. I was playing Warhammer a few months ago. The game can be really fun.

Oh dear. I was both worried and hoping this would happen. At least you're going in with your eyes open. Fortunately the lower tiers of WAR on a populated server can be very, very fun. You must be proactive in finding where the action is, and what kinds of fights to avoid.

I voted above for you to play a Squig Herder. They suffer from poor AP management, the game's shitty pet AI, and subpar damage. But they have so many tools! And they're incredibly fun.

A good second choice would be a Zealot, Tzeentch's healers. They're powerful healers (forget DPS), mobile, challenging, and fun. My main since launch has been a Zealot. He's 86, but on hiatus while I play my Squig Herder in Tiers 2 and 3.

Despite its flaws, I love the game, even though it often seems EA and Bioware don't. I keep returning to it after trying other games, over and over. I hope you and others catch the WAR virus. It's like Herpes. Praise Nurgle!

@Fabius Bile - WAR got as many votes as the other nine games combined. I really do wonder how many new Massively accounts were made since June 14th.

I'm looking forward to reading of your exploits, always been curious of WAR, never took the plunge.

@Azules At first, I misread what you meant by exploits.

Because exploits is what I'm most curious about: once you get into open RvR, how rampant is the cheating these days? I quit specifically because it was out of control and, at the time, they weren't even bothering to suspend, let alone ban, the most rampant cheaters.

My pick would be for you to play a damage-specced zealot, if that's even still possible.

@J Brad Hicks

A few weeks ago 3 whole guilds were banned for cheating on the Gorfang server. Some perma banned, some just suspensions. It was for item duplication although some noobs admitted to other forms of cheating. At least it showed the GMs take cheating seriously.

Really looking forward to this. I played WAR for a while and i'v always thought about going back to it despite it's flaws.
Although i haven't kept up with the game much, i would love to see you play a Warrior Priest, i remember them being able to absolutely wreck shit in PVP and battlegrounds.

Warhammer Online was, and still is, my favorite MMO of all time. I quit after the closing of the Phoenix Throne server, and I've tried different MMOs since, but I can't find anything with PvP (or RvR) like WAR.

@Taawa

Thanks for the kind advice! Of course, it's not really up to me what I'll play, but that's sort of the nature of the beast. (I'm pulling for something other than Greenskins, but given the state of the polls at the moment that's the way the wind is blowing.)

Obviously, my character's identity will be fully public here, so you'll have a front-row seat to my thoughts.

@Eliot Lefebvre

Why wouldn't you want to be a greenskin? Warhammer's orks and gobbos are the best race in any MMO. I wish I could transfer my black ork to whatever MMO I play -- whether it's EVE or Darkfall ;)

@xBludx

It's nothing against orks, but the Raven Host and House Uthorin skew a bit closer to my personal sensibilities.

Ok, hope EA catches on this publicity and they decide to do something about it. I had to quit this game (multiple times) because even thought pvp was great (when there was any to be had) I did not like the empty quest hubs... if I want big zones I will log into fallen earth where the map is so big that you can be a scavenger and avoid other players (I love to rp in that game) only until you have to go to town and use your vault...

I hope the population of this game grows even though I already know that this game is in support mode and cannot go F2P with SWOTR coming down the pipeline.

Do you stream your gameplay, or do we just have to wait for you to write a review afterwards?

@Ordegar

The main format will follow the usual CMA setup, with a weekly recap of my adventures in the game over the past week. I'll probably fit in a stream or two along the way.

It really does not matter if you play it or not for 1 month or so. The REAL issue comes with the high renown ranking when you are left as a cannon fodder for months for ppl with RR100 while you are at 40-80. Its just horrible and I will keep pointing it out the entire time you play this.

its not as bad as Deadalon saying. probably he havent even played the game lately. u can pretty much get to tier4 as 40/70 now and then u are able to wear worn sov set to be competitive enaugh against higher renown players. there were some nice tweaks lately in terms of power cap issue.
physical ranged dps careers are still lacking a little tho..but overall its quite good. just the campaign could use some revamp again to make it more interesting and maybe some new content...which wont happen probably since all the staff is working on SWTOR.

@Fabius Bile meh, somehow I read your "all" as "half"...needless to say, we both think the same and I agree with you, disregard my previous post...
