Wow, this alone mostly guarantees I won't try the game. I hate when I feel like I must either join a guild or be treated like a second class player.

Besides, a system that makes large and powerful guilds even more desirable is not something I would like to see in any game. If it has the same effect that WoW's guild evolution had, forming new guilds will be much more difficulty after a handful larger guilds have had some time to grind their levels and buffs.

The more group oriented a game is the less devs have to mess with hands on, sad fact of MMO until some company flush with talent and cash comes along.

A better question is why wasnt this stuff in place at launch? They sticking to that work in progress excuse?
