Guild Wars 2 is looking to be worlds better than GW1 so I recommend giving that a try when it comes out.

Wizard101 and FreeRealms both hit some good buttons with me despite the "kid-friendly" aesthetics. I've also been enjoying Spiral Knights lately.

@WonderWeazel What kind of games do you like? That will help people give you some suggestions.

Vindictus (Nexon)

Then there's Dragons Nest (in Closed Beta, by Nexon) which looks to be good, as well as RaiderZ, which hasn't started its CB yet from what I'm aware of, and is being published by Perfect World as well.
I've also heard some fine things about Spiral Knights, which can be grabbed off Steam as well.

for starters:

"F2P" = "Free to Play"
(they don't charge you for the game, but they do kinda expect you to purchase items from their "cash shop" ... it sort of works like DLC but not really, you will figure it out after looking at them for a little bit.)

"P2P" = Pay to Play
(the conventional "buy the box then pay a monthly sub" type of MMO, WOW, Everquest, and Rift and the like are these types of games.)

Actually, you got F2P right, but...

P2P = Pay to play, games with upfront costs to play but no subscription. A rare model, most prominently seen in Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. Global Agenda has a sort of Freemium variant on this.

Sub = Subscription, games that follow a payment model that requires subscribing to the game in order to play at all outside of a trial version. May include a cash shop and paid account services in addition to this, a la World of Warcraft.

Freemium = Free but with a premium service, a variant F2P model that includes a premium subscription service. Many have gated content that free players must purchase to unlock but is automatically available to subs. Subscribers also usually get a superior standard of service and ancillary benefits such as experience bonuses and points to spend on cash shop items.

From what I've heard, what you call P2P is more commonly considered B2P (Buy to Play) due to P2P's common usage as a subscription model.

Agree with Callagan, P2P is used for games with subs.
