You think he's dangerous when he has that giant stick? Naw man... that's just there to keep his hands busy and not around those scrawny necks! Second he chucks that out of the way, heads will crack as he performs the best of his Zangief impersonations.

Thank god he only really has the spinning lariat, the powerbomb would just be overkill on anything...

Awesome incredible update, and Karok is a freakin' monster in his own right. He is so, so strong... my god he just breezes through bosses that seemed much harder on my king-of-dps lann. Able to tank while still dishing out incredible damage plus the extra grappling abilities he has - very few downsides for sure.

His nose is big, that's the only negative thing I can think of against him ;_;

By the way, he has a couple aoe attacks such as his LLR and his LLLLR mega-smash. Hits everything in a huge circle around him.

I don't understand this MMO. They have pre-determined characters for you to play? So you don't create your own character to interact with others? Are there a like 100 of these same looking guys running around the city?

@Eranicus What "The Ogre" said. But you can customize them somewhat, such as skin color, hair style etc.. And the classes are gender locked which sucks but after playing it for awhile it did not bother me.

@Eranicus Yeh really once you get into customization, you can actually look more unique than you can in a game like WoW. I mean, the small differences add up when you factor in armor and vanity options. Players can look really unique.

@Eranicus that is one of the major reasons I've not bothered.

it looks like a hoot, but not interested if I can't make my toon my own (without hitting up the cash shop)

@fallwind
right ... that is something i noticed ... to get a really cool customized look, it is going to cost you.

@Mikkhail

Most of the options are available to you for free, so you are able to get a "really cool customized look" for free. And god forbid we actually ever contribute financial support to the games we play. They've even made permanent options available for the cosmetic purchases now for the people who was against "renting" hairstyles and such (I was one of those people).

No big deal. There's a lot of custom options right off the bat, as (Unverified) said.

Personally, after trying it this morning, I think I'll have no problems next week dropping a tenner on a Nexon cash card (wish more companies would distribute their cash/game cards in my area) to get a couple of goodies.

Think of it as an action-RPG like Diablo, just with towns (as far as I know, which isn't much :P) instead of a lobby.

Now THAT is what I call a TANK! Seriously, this dude has Incredible Hulk written all over him and I love it. This update looks great!

Now if only Valve would take my advice and do as I had hoped when this first released and give it another home on Steam. With the recent F2P additions to Steam, and the fact that this is a Source engine made game, you'd think it's be a shoe in...

Love me some Vindictus!

I support this example of gender equality. More MMOs should feature bare-chested men with selective skimpy armor to show off their manliness.

Tossing mobs around like rag dolls, headbutting them and grabbing a giant tusked bear by the fangs? The awesome meter just broke.

@Jade Effect Yeah and don't forget the sword 'n' board tank in this game is a female...What are these guys crazy? :P

@paterah

Nope, this is manly tanking right here. Only the wimps grab a shield, real tanks are tanks, like Karok. You see those cannons he's packing...?! Armor piercing my arse, those things punch through armor.

From the size of the silhouette for this guy (pre-unlock) I really wasn't expecting him to actually be a human character. I'll definitely be updating and hopping back in over the weekend, as all my DDO chars are going to seem scrawny by comparison.

@EgoPoisoning He isn't Human. He's the sole survivor of the giants. The giants were a neutral clan that were wiped out as the fomors and humans waged war. On the night before that last battle for the race of giants, Karok's mentor told him to go north where he always wanted to go. To humans, giants were fomors, so it's interesting that Karok isn't poorly respected as Krunk. Though, karok is much more human than Krunk. Karok is tiny for a giant too. He was the smallest apparently. And no, i didn't make it up, this lore was revealed as a short story like a week before Karok was released.
