99% sure they are beeing attacked cause they are focusing on PS3 launch only for Dust. Thats how much ppl are ready to do when an indie company falls to its knees for a company like Sony. Disgracefull.

Expect alot more of these in the next few weeks.

@Deadalon Just FYI CCP stopped being a indie company many many years back. They now employee over 250+ people. That is anything but a indie company. That's more employees then most MMORPG companys ever have.

@Deadalon seriously dude, that's the most absurd statement I've ever heard, it was LulzSec and they did it for the Lulz. Relevance to PS3 - null.

Do your research, you would then know the name of the group that is hacking them and why...nothing to read here folks-=LULZ is just posting live as they pull off this BS. They also hit minecraft servers and league of legends.

Because falling on its knees to microsoft would not be bowing to corporate America, c/d?

Anyone who went to Lulzsec little twitter knows they did this because they were accepting targets to DDoS attack. People were calling in and asking them to attack all kinds of sites and games. Quite a few were even begging for them to hack Blizz, and according to one person that responded to me in another thread...they tried to DDoS attack battle.net but it handled their little attack without incident.

Oh rly? I guess I should be expecting PS3 exclusive versions of Minecraft and Escapist Magazine, too, since they were DDOS'ed as well!

You mean like a company that has less strict certification requirements for its networking TRC's than its rival companies?

You mean like a company that has a more functional patching policy, particularly with the architecture your chosen engine (unreal games, can't change the executable at all on xbox) than its rival companies?

You mean like a company that is comfortable promoting and supporting free downloadable content and patches on a more regular and appropriate timeline than its rival company?

Cause in the video game industry right now, when it comes to online games, Sony is much more supportive of actual development efforts than Microsoft.

@smg77

No, i work for a game developer thats made a multiplatform (both xbox and ps3) shooter using the unreal engine for a team that had to pipe network layer/online features through the respective companies.

Sony, when it comes to all those things i mentioned are just much more accommodating, and realistic than Microsoft.

It's nice to see such a quick reaction with little negative results and all handled within a day. If this really is the case, good job CCP. I wish you had a game out I actually wanted to play.

Even if Lulzsec managed to get in and corrupt all the data they had...

There are still backup storage sites (unless they don't have any) that would get the place up and running in very little time... Maybe a week tops and the game is up and running easily. Unless they needed to add new security or do additional things.

I would have rather-ed you didn't give them the attention they so desperately seek by doing these things, by not reporting on it.
