@jealouspirate

Yeah, it's true. At the E3 demo, the reps walking down the line were constantly reminding us to summon our companions and not get cocky about that. I'm sure a skilled player could work out strategies to handle things on their own, but it wouldn't be easy.

The Imperial Agent seemed a bit too much like a smuggler in this video. Not sure what I think of that.

@Thrishmal

the only thing similar about them is that they both make use of the cover system. other than that there is not much linking the two classes.

@jealoutpirate: That's a very interesting point. I wonder if companions are allowed in PvP. Does anybody know? That could be a very imporant issue.

Companions are not available in Flashpoints and Warzones.

They will be available for Open World PvP.

@R1frenchybutnotsobadenglish Companions are currently available in flashpoints, though they take up a group slot. They're not currently allowed in operations or warzones.

Seems that they take up a slot in open-world groups as well. As soon as I got into a group of three during the demo, my companion disappeared and the option to summon him was locked. I'm not sure how they determine whose companion automatically leaves once you're grouped.

Why do so many people have issues with the Sorcerer/Wizard names, but for 34 years nobody took issue with the Jedi being called KNIGHTS?

@(Unverified) Luke's uncle Owen calls Obi-Wan "a crazy wizard", and Darth Vader gets this said to him: "Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerer's ways, Lord Vader", right before force-choking the guy into feeling sorry he ever said that.

Star Wars is fantasy dressed up in a shiny SF coat. Nothing strange about a class being called a sorcerer.

Saw this in a Livestream a couple days go. Glad to see it in compressed format. I'm impressed, and glad that if you choose a Light Side option in the Wheel O Dialogue you still get light side points, even if the Dark Side option gets chosen.

Brooding Dark Lord seeks sinewy, muscle-bound companion for long walks on Tatooine.

Seriously, not to sound homophobic, but someone please tell me thong-clad oafs and pink-trimmed dresses aren't mandated by the Emperor?

I am not sure how far color customizing is for your character, but I think you get some say of coloration.

As to companions, you can actually give them pieces of armor and they can wear them. So, that particular companion probably doesn't have to be in a thong if you find something else. ;)

i guess when you spend that much money in production you kinda have to play it safe. maybe after the money starts rolling in they'll be able to innovate in some other way besides just making all the characters say their lines

@hundred It looks to me like they wasted their animators on the cinematics to the detriment of their game animations.

Waaaay too much money spent on misplaced Hollywood process. I haven't seen work like this since I betad Outpost back in the day.

@Borick

Blur, a separate studio, did the cinematic animation.
