@belgeode November is so packed full of games already that I'd bet they wait until December or even January at the absolute earliest.

@belgeode Check out this Torocast link http://www.torocast.com/index.php/news/swtor-news/item/563-a-hint-at-the-swtor-release-date .........for a possible hint at the release date based on the interview DarthHater did with Razer the people behind the peripherals for SWTOR to be released later this year. This is only speculation based on the interview and nothing has been confirmed by BioWare though it is an interesting little tidbit to consider.

@Keen and Graev

a lot of games actually try and squash each other with releases, if you compare the "content patches" of wow and release dates of other games its almost funny, there was a big patch within 1-2 weeks of nearly every supposed wow killers release. Hell wow itself launched on the same day as one of EvE onlines expansions

None of them admit it of course, but its pretty obvious.

@(Unverified) That's true. However, EA is famous for delaying titles sometimes even as long as 6 months to avoid releasing in the same window as another one of their titles.

How many people in this raid? 10 or 15?

@Dirame The answer is 16. A party in SWTOR is 4 players and a raid consists of 4 parties thus the answer is 16. This was also said straight from Daniel Erickson during numerous interviews during E3 (just not this interview).

Lets clear this up right now....

TOR is as far from Raid or Die as you can get in fact the Raiding is so accessible that everyone can do it no matter the skill level..... and if Raiding isn't your thing there are Epic quest and Flashpoints where just a couple people can enter and revive tokens that unlock some of the best gear in the game.

Looks pretty awesome. I'm not ready to jump on the bandwagon (probably never will), but the gameplay looks pretty shiny.

They all seem to be standing around shooting and hitting with light sabers.. Is there a better clip?

Looks awesome cant wait. My guess is 16-20 people in the elite raids.
And now we know there will be 8 man in normal difficulty settings.

Oooh. Standing in one place mashing button rotations. That's so awesome I feel like I'm back in 2005.

Needs moar action. How about some dodging and blocking? People using cover and terrain?

Naw... it's just another dice-rolling crapfest.

@Borick Ya know, some of us actually LIKE this style of combat in an MMO. If i wanted to dodge stuff and aim my gun, I'd play a FPS. Or at least a more FPS-like MMO ..they make those. I, and many others DON'T WANT more "action" in our MMOs. We like MMOs because they play like friggin MMO's! I wanna auto-attack. I want my gear to mean a lot to my efficiency and power in pvp and pve. I want to be better cause i farmed the elite stuff, and earned it. I don't want to have to jump over lazers and hide behind Bantha.

SWTOR isn't about putting more action in our MMOs, it's about putting more story, and more feeling into them. They are hitting the nail on the head as far as I am concerned. This looks like the game i want to play.

@Triskelion Firefox adblock plus removes ads from everything from youtube to livestream. I never watch a video ad, ever, unless it is put into the video during production by the video creator.

adblock plus is what makes the internet usable. Without it...I shudder to think.
