why do they bother to make new mmo? it's just a waste of time imo, nothing can beat WOW or Blizzard professionals!

@(Unverified) It's called competition, which is a symptom of Capitalism. If you don't like this, North Korea or Cuba would be nice for your relocation plans.

@(Unverified) Ok you obviously haven't looked at the profits Zynga, Playdom and other game publishers are making from Social games, if you did then you would realise that they make Huge amounts of Cash.

Who cares about WoW, its not the only successful game. Financially Freenium, Social games are highly profitable. And more people play them! How many people play Farmvile and the rest of the Zynga or others titles.

The use of Unity is great, in browser 3d, opening up what most hardcore gamers saw as trash games (social games) to Social games with the experience and gameplay of AAA titles. Its all good stuff!

@elliotrock

I can't wait till people realize how much time they are wasting on all these simple games. It may take a few years for those teenagers to grow up, but they will eventually regret spending time and money on angry birds or farmville.

First reaction: Ooh, shiny.

Second reaction: Who wrote the copy for that poor narrator? "A time for X, a time for Y, a time for Z..."

Meh. On what day do we get the big E3 announcements?

Looks pretty interesting, but I LOATHE facebook. And participation in social media offers strategic advantage? Not sure that I like that.

If I were to geuss, it looks a bit like kingdom/castle building via "Heroes of Might and Magic". I can see that being done via a Facebook/simple browser interface. While what they mention has strong possibilities, I am wondering if it will just actually be things we have seen before instead of what I am thinking of true Facebook integration.

As to the PvP/log-into-client side of things, it seems you are travelling the open world created by this, but again, I am seeing "Might and Magic" elements and more troop movement. Not too much customizing from the looks of it.

In short, this may actually wind up being a more simpler game than the hype. I'll keep an eye on it, but my expectations are not too high to seeing anything vastly different.

Seems like kind of a mess - FaceBook song n' dance AND a separate client, for different parts of the same game? Sheesh.

Mixing the archetypical trash-talking tea-bagging pre-pubescent PvPer with real names and real life friends on Facebook. Now there's a recipe for trouble.

Is this the game that was going to tie your characters' sex to your RL sex?

unity may be a good engine but unless you have a decent dev team and a dedicated company to push content it's drivle. you only need to look at bsg online...a wast of an opportunity
