Those of us who play Guild Wars are fortunate to have access to NPC's that, while not as effective as live players, can fill in the spots of missing guildies. We also have the ability to have fairly large alliances which helps to locate human players.

However, I think the ideas presented here can interject interest and a sense of fun.

Vacation? What is that? I live in the US.

Fun read though! I like the list. Actually, great list. It is always a problem when you recruit new members, and then old ones that have gone on a 2 week vacation want their spot back, but kicking the new guy is always like aww. I say guy because if it's a girl that's the new member, the old member ain't gettin their spot back lol. Oh snap! Social pressures based on gender of player!

I guess that has more to do with being up front to someone about how long their expected guild stay is... man, I never even thought of doing that before, recruiting someone with a vocal statement "you will only be here for 2 weeks, but come have fun".

Though, the real problem with that ^ idea is that most guilds get jealous of the loot, and if you don't tell the person you'll be dropping them in 2 weeks then you can just give them DKP and they'll never have enough to spend. Still, I guess with proper planning and agreements you could get some temporary members and special loot allowances that don't ruin the rest of your guilds fun while still providing incentive for temp members to actually participate.
