RIFT offering free character transfers with patch 1.3 [Updated]

it will be great to be able to switch servers at will (once per week) but it could either strengthen the community by letting you move with you friends or it could make it feel like you are running a huge random.

also it will be interesting to see how it affects faction balance and the servers economy.

@Fabius Bile Ah, Fabius Bile, the Rift party pooper strikes again! I actually play Rift and follow the community actively. Yes, there are definitely a few servers underpopulated that would really benefit from this. And yes, of course that is the incentive for this move. But what is a good amount then in your view? Because it's certainly not the majority. From what I can tell on EU forums, there's three underpopulated servers, meaning three servers where the community agrees that they are underpopulated. Not just random whiners who complain cause they can't find a group at 4am.

again with the RIFT BASHING you must be really obsessed, i hope people by now have learned you are not a trustworthy individual when it comes to Rift. I PLAY ON EU AND AS OF RIGHT NOW 6:34 PM cet there is not a single server with low pop!

Hello Trion, X server is a ghost town, it takes me hours to get a group going for anything, the LFG is completly useless, the auction house and economy are absolutly dead, the invasions and rifts stay there till they despawn because there is noone to take care of them, and I dont even find people while gathering. Can you give us server merges, pretty please?

no thats totally false, my server is great ergo your server is great too, and this game is great. Also I swear for snoopy I just made a char in your server and travelled to all zones and its bursting with activity.

@Fabius Bile. I don't see a problem here. The players want server transfers, Trion give the players server transfers. Players are happy. Trion give the players over and above what they want by offering it free. Players are even happier. Everyone is happy, except you it appears. I'm confused, are you complaining about a happy player community or a developer who gives the players what they want for free? Either way, bit silly, mate.
