Methinks Gazillion is experiencing some delusions of grandeur here.

Root, a nifty word. telling of where things start and what feeds an entity. With the primary root concern being making money for any MMO, can any developer/distributor ever state they have subscribers interests at heart? No, they cant, because they simply do not.

Until budgets are not an issue eveything will be based around how the title will make cash, and we all know where that dev passion really lay, with the bottom line.

Devs are indeed delusional stating they make MMO's for us. (grin)

Oh Marvel Universe Online, why must you stumble and fail this long before launch? How can you be going down the completely wrong development path? Have you not studied City of Heroes, Champions Online and DC Universe Online? Have you learned nothing from the lessons those game taught?

Super Hero Squad for adults is not what we want.

IDK about this and I hate to bring it up but here is another guy
that worked at Blizzard and went to work at Flagship Studios.

And there was no questions on how Gazillion was going to
incorporate mmo with the Marvel Universe and having multiple
Spider-Mans running around, unless it is going to be a heavily
instanced game.

@BubleFett

That's what bugged me about the interview also, considering the last time info was revealed and how significant the reaction was about 1000 wolverines in the same spot type situations....lets completely ignore the audience.

I dunno why, but I see this game working out. My guess would be that the storyline is going to be one gigantic What If? comic arc, which can represent an infinite number of dimensions and will explain all of the duplicate characters.

Secondly, I don't forsee us playing a single character so much as unlocking a stable or "Team" of characters. In a way, everyone will be playing out their own "What If?" scenerio while interacting with others in the same multiverse. We'll probably also be collecting rare comics, uniforms, action figures, ect... which could be lots of fun if done correctly.

Not only was What If? one of my favorite Marvel Comics, but I see this Idea as fitting well within the established mythos while carving out something new and awesome.

Just my 2 cents. :)

Also, PLEASE LET ME USE DEATH'S HEAD (original version only, since some stupid writer thought a 21st century robot could take out a time traveling one from the far future)

I should be Gazillion's target audience for this game. I've been reading Marvel comics for 40 years. I've been playing MMOs for 20 (including MUDs of the early 90s). I have a lot of disposable income and I've been waiting years for the Marvel MMO. But I'm not interested in Gazillion's game.

I want to create my own character and explore the Marvel universe. I don't want to play Marvel Ultimate Alliance MMO.

For me, Gazillion failed during their very first press event for this game.

Some of you people need to realize that MMO is not shorthand for MMORPG. There are, in fact, many types of Massively Multiplayer Online games. If you haven't at least tried a single MMOFPS (where there is usually also no character creation), then you've been missing out.

I'm looking at this as a MUA-based MMO and in that regard I'm really looking forward to it. I would like to to see a persistent, ongoing world where I could put together my dream team of Marvel heroes. I've always wanted an Excalibur video game, maybe I'll get one in this game.

The fact is, we know NOTHING abotu this game yet. So I'm going to wait.

Though being able to join the X-Men or the Avengers and run around the mansion doing crazy shit would be awesome.
