Should you want to try the game, feel free to use the attached link.

If you want to roll on the EU server Argent (RP-PVE), should you purchase the game afterwards, i'll gladly show you around and help you, should you have questions.

Enjoy the game either way!

Ah, Abyssal Precipice. It's hilarious how queuing for a random T2 puts me in AP over half the time. I hear about problems people have with the LFG tool, but it's worked like a charm for me and I couldn't be happier with how it works.

Wardrobe system, on the other hand, leaves me fuming. How on earth did they think that creating a wardrobe system where you CAN'T EQUIP THINGS COSMETICALLY THAT YOU ALSO WANT TO USE?!? I was looking forward to this patch specifically so I could have the visuals of my DPS chestpiece no matter what gearset I had on, but I can't without moving the item from the wardrobe to my equipped slot each time I change roles. Blows my mind.

For the record, the clothier vendor sells the starter gear for each calling. Every single new character wears gear visually identical to what she sells, although it's chain/cloth/etc instead of equippable by anyone.

I'm on Deepstrike-PvP-Defiant, which is well-populated but without heavy queues and somewhere I'd recommend for anyone who wants a PvP server. Toss me a tell and I'll help get you started :)

@Caerus
All armor skins can be crafted. There are no unique armor skins for epic gear and what not, you can get a crafter to make an armor with the skin you want. For instance I am loving the Chromite Hauberk armor set.

@Icemasta

Actually there are a bunch of models that aren't craftable. I usually find those as loot from rifts.

Come on over to Plutonus-Defiant if interested and look for Cobalt or Tantalus if you want some help with the ropes and someone to run around with in the teens (or maybe an Iron Tombs run!)

Even though it's buggy, the LFG tool works and is an easy way for some extra T1 plaques. I've yet to get a pop for anything other than T1 dungeons though.

To the author, if you want to avoid PUGs (which kinda defeats the purpose of the tool, you can pregroup with your guildies, making sure everyone has the right roles picked out. Then the group leader can que you as a group. Boom! Extra plaques for running a random dungeon.

Aside from the new improvements, it's time for some server consolidation. The only time I ever see a decent population on Stonecrest is when I play Saturday and Sunday mornings (temporarily in Singapore, so I'm 12 hours ahead of EST). Other times it's pretty much a ghost town.

About adding quests to the LFG tool. Yesterday, to my dismay, I picked up a bunch of group quests and noticed they had this neat little mark next to it on my tracker. When I clicked said little button, I was offered to queue for the group quests! So maybe you missed out on that when you say there were no quests for you to join? Maybe it only works for actual group quests and not solo ones? Just speculating here.

Rift for me, is something I play very casually. Not the pressure I have in WoW to preform, to reach deadlines, I can just... play. It has been a delight. At first, I did feel it would not stick. That I liked it, but that because I am not building up any sort of community in Rift, I would not continue to go back. But I was wrong. They add everything I have always wanted. The appearance slots have kept me occupied for hours.

I'm a mage, but I roleplay a fierce Bahmi tribe woman. The whole tribe theme doesn't really fit the very bulky robes I get to wear. So I just went to different vendors who sell low level stuff. Checked out all of those, and bought something there, dyed it, ET VOILA! I look like a super fierce woman who still manages to be fully clothed! I wouldn't allow yourself to be stifled by only the clothier vendors. Look beyond those! Otherwise I will have to mock you when you run into a Rift wearing a bikini.

Since you seemed a little confused about it, and I didn't see anyone address it in the comments...

The looking for group for quests part of the LFG tool isn't so you can find people that have quests you have so you can group up and do them. It's there so that if you have a group quest, you can enter this pool and find other people that maybe aren't in the same zone as you or same level range as you who also want to finish these group only quests. I can see where it would be easy to mistake though, especially if you had zero group quests to begin with. When I first opened the tool I had like 5 group quests in my log and so all 5 showed up there. Didn't use it though.

Populations are too low for me to enjoy Rift. When they create full cross all server warfronts, and/or gain another 1-2 million subs, I'll come back.
