Good to hear Icarus finally wised up and will be ditching FE's god awful skill and abilities system. I don't know how that company, or anyone else for that matter, thought it would be a good idea to combine FPS aiming with a 36-72 slot abilities bar (seriously, LOL).

If games like Global Agenda, the Mass Effects, and Tabula Rasa have taught us anything it's that twitchier combat really needs *LESS* available abilities but they need to be game-changers when used.

If I Fallen Earth had been playable with 5-8 special attacks and a few minor buffs I might have not quit the game six months in utter disgust at all of the macro programming I had to do with my G15 just to enjoy the game.

I'm a Soloist, and I really like FE.. I play it on and off .. but I feel the New AP thing will 'gimp' me, and make the game harder for me than it already is..

"[...] I'm not quite sure whether Dirty Tricks or Escape Artist will determine your stealth values."
its escape artist ;)
and the changes are looking great. yes, it will be a little harder to solo the game, at some points even impossible, but i see nothing wrong with having to group with other players in an mmo.

I think the changes sound positive. I agree that it's hard to play something that's semi-action based while also worrying about all of these hotbar skills. And while I largely solo, I honestly think it makes sense in many MMORPGs for the devs to not cater to solo players... if you want to play it that way that's cool, but much like life, you should have to rely on the skills of others from time to time.

I'm not currently subbing, but FE at least still seems to be the most interesting MMORPG out there. I'm very interested in checking out the progress towns.
