Delays, releasing on the last possible hour of launch date, unscheduled maintenances. That's how VIndictus CBT was, but hey, it's closed beta! Patience, you'll see a well running game eventually. Quality over premature release always.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but it still bugs me that CBT has come to mean Super Special Exclusive Game Preview where everything has to be polished and perfect rather than, well, a beta test where the whole idea is to help the devs polish a game.

Maybe in this case they mean the game is unplayable right now, in which case I totally agree that a delay is reasonable. But too often these days it feels more like beta tests are little more than PR stunts. Of course, it's probably got more to do with players' messed up expectations than the companies themselves, but it's still kind of disappointing.

@Ghostspeaker

Eh, it's semantics really. These days "Alpha" or "Early Beta" means testing, and "Beta" means test-drive.

Nothing to get bent out about, just a new strategy that companies are employing to generate some hype about their game. TBH, I think it's a good way to go - lends some transparency to the game before grubbing for box sales... puts more insight into the hands of the consumer, so I personally can't see a reason to complain.
